We took this tour on a 90 degree day in late June and still loved every minute of the $25 pp, two hour walking tour. There are plenty of shaded stops and it's all flat so it's certainly not a strenuous walk. Dan knows his history and delivers it in an entertaining (but not corny) manner. By contrast, we were... I've been on a lot of tours but this guy is the best! He'll probably be the Mayor of Savannah one day!

It will cost you $25 at the end of the tour. He is very knowledgeable. He is very aware of who is on his tour and doesn't allow tag alongs. He is very well known in Savannah as the best tour guide. He gives some great recommendations of other places to visit that he is not related to. At the... More

On a very hot day, we are still glad we took this 2 hour walking tour. He gives you a lot of information about the history, tips on dining and some places worth visiting--all with a lot of humor. We covered multiple squares, statues, house and church exteriors with good descriptions at a leisurely pace and left with new ideas... More

We enjoyed hearing about Savannah from a true local. You could tell that Dan cared about his city and enjoyed sharing it with others. He did a great day weaving history in with modern day stories and humor. Great tips for the rest of your stay in Savannah as well. Overall a great experience and well worth it.

A charming, articulate character whose walking tour brings the history to life the history of Savannah in a very informative and humorous way. The highlight of our Savannah trip. Not to be missed!!

Savannah Dan came highly recommended by a family member that had visited a year prior to our visit and she could not have been more right. We met in Johnson square and like a something right out of a southern story from years gone by Savannah Dan strolled up in his seersucker suit, Panama hat, bowtie and buck shoes. We... More

Not to be missed. Dan is the quintessential southern gentleman. You feel like his guest touring his neighborhood on a casual walk and, just to be friendly, he fills you in on the history, changes through the years and all the gossip that's fit to repeat, as any good host might do. He's fun, courtly, charming. Great tour, small group.

Savannah Dan is obviously very knowledgable of Savannah history. He keeps up a quick walking pace to see 5 squares and numerous churches. All of the squares have very old oak trees and Spanish moss. Uncovers stories of Old South that I had never heard before! Dan recommended Leopold's for the chocolate shakes! We saw Chippewa Square where Forrest Gump's... More

The waling tour is a must do in order to see and understand the town and squares. I suggest doing it first thing since he makes a number of recommendations about what is going on locally.
