This was our first time in Savannah and we only had a morning to spend touring the city. Based on TA reviews, we decided to contact Savannah Dan and we weren't disappointed! Dan begins his tour in Johnson Square where there's a lovely mosaic of the town as it was in the early 1700s. As we strolled from one square... More

Savannah Dan provides a fun, informative tour delivered in his charming Southern accent. He made the history of Savannah come alive. Our tour group was a mix of ages from seniors to children, there were locals and tourists alike (even two dogs). Everyone was engaged in the tour which included a fascinating history of Savannah, commentary on current Savannah events... More

Living in the area for a couple years now we should have taken this tour after closing on our home. This is a must do,even if you aren't a history buff. You will be entertained while you learn.

I was initially worried that this tour might be a bit gimmicky, but I went ahead and booked it anyway, based on the very good reviews. Maybe the seersucker suit thing is a bit gimmicky, but it is also clever, as it makes Dan very recognisable and sets his tour apart from all others. Good marketing ploy! The great thing... More

Dan arrives looking quite dapper and authentic Savannah. He quickly gets to know the crowd and begins with friendly banter before launching into an animated history of Georgia and Savannah. Who knew that as the 13th colony that there were lawyers and slavery was not permitted? Along the walking tour (which welcomes dogs), he tells of the history of each... More

This tour was completely charming.Dan is easy to find.A tall confident man dressed in a cream seersucker suite with pale tan shoes and a chapeau. His thick southern accent was charming and clear as he strolled our comfortable group through various little squares telling great tales of interesting historical events that occurs in old Savannah and walking us past various... Savannah Dan is the real deal. No gimmicks, just a lot of fun and information sprinkled in with some humor. My wife and I have gone of many private tours and Mr.Dan is one of our favorites. Highly recommended!

Savannah Dan gives you an overview of the city and details that you wouldn't know unless you lived in Savannah. Taking walking tours is the best way to go since you get a better experience out of the tour. I have taken other tours and would only recommend taking this one.
