I visited Chef Joe's Cooking School on 8/15 with four of my friends for a Girls Getaway to Savannah. The food was absolutely great but even more, the experience was wonderful. To be able to see back and watch Chef Randall cook and prepare the food in front of you and see his techniques with seasonings and the way he... More

I was pleased with my experience from start to finish. To start, I had trouble reserving online and sent an email for help. Chef Joe responded immediately by phone and assured me that it should be working fine, but advised me to let him know if I was still having trouble. Turns out, my work computer would not allow the... My husband and I visited the cooking school on August 15th. It was a wonderful experience and the food was excellent. Chef Randall and his wife are very hospitable. This is a must do if you are visiting Savanah.

My husband and I went to a cooking class last night ((August 2015). It was only the two of us and one other couple, celebrating their 42nd anniversary. According to Chef, sometimes they have larger groups of 20 and sometimes small ones like ours. I think we were really fortunate to have our little group because Chef Joe and Miss... More

We were visiting Savannah on a recent road trip in the USA and wanted to experience some Southern cooking up close. This class did not disappoint. Chef Joe was entertaining and it was good fun sitting back to watch our delicious meal come together, then even more fun eating it. A word of advice - go hungry!!!

Joe Randall is a culinary rock star. His food is amazing, and watching him prepare each course is a like a giant tease, except one in which the eventual payoff is even better than you imagined. The session we attended was "The Best of the Low Country". It included Crab cakes (Best I've ever had), Fried Green Tomato salad with... More

We attended Chef Joe's event the first night we arrived in Savannah. No one can argue that Chef Joe does not make phenomenal food. You will not go home hungry, and you will want to come back for more. It is that delicious. Where I get hung up (if you want to call it that) is referring this as a... More

Let me preface this review by saying 90% was absolutely my fault. I messed up and arrived Saturday instead of Friday. Mea culpa. But let's start at the beginning, shall we? Got a taxi to go out to Chef Joe's -about 15 bucks plus tip from 1790 inn. Arrive to this very unkempt building in a rough looking part of... More

Chef Randall and his wife, Ms. Barbara, are the best! We booked the lobster class and it was one of the best decisions we made. There was a small class the night we attended, but their table holds up to 20 people at a time. We had lobster cheesecake that was heavenly, baked lobster Savannah and broiled lobster tail. I... Went for a night of meat! Had veal chops for our appetizer which were ok. Tenderloin for the main course was ok and lamb chops for dessert (best course). Chef repeatedly handled raw meat with bare hands and cross-contaminated most surfaces in his work space. Chef's health is probably not optimal to be doing this type of work and he... More
