Chef Randall and his wife, Ms. Barbara, are the best! We booked the lobster class and it was one of the best decisions we made. There was a small class the night we attended, but their table holds up to 20 people at a time. We had lobster cheesecake that was heavenly, baked lobster Savannah and broiled lobster tail. I... Went for a night of meat! Had veal chops for our appetizer which were ok. Tenderloin for the main course was ok and lamb chops for dessert (best course). Chef repeatedly handled raw meat with bare hands and cross-contaminated most surfaces in his work space. Chef's health is probably not optimal to be doing this type of work and he... More

Imagine a warm, rich appetizer of scallops, shrimp and oysters swimming in a flavor packed parmesan cream sauce, followed with sweet yellow tomatoes on a bed of crisp spring greens lightly covered with a bacon infused dressing...flaky baked flounder filled with a lump crab stuffing drizzled with lemon butter sauce...and light and airy vanilla creme brule with a tease of... This was the highlight of our trip to Savannah. Chef Joe Randall clearly has years of experience cooking in fine dining restaurants because, besides learning some tips that we will use in the future, we savored the most delicious meal we have possibly ever eaten, consisting of Oysters and Clams Rockefeller, bib lettuce salad with a creamy Italian dressing, prime... Chef Joe has a cozy place that seats about 15 people circled around his kitchen. He prepares a wonderful meal in front of you, and explains the recipes and cooking tips of how he prepares it. While I have sat near kitchens in other restaurants, I have never had such a unique experience watching a chef prepare every dish, inserting... More

I went to Chef Joe with a private group (max 20 can sit at the large table/bar). I live in Savannah and had never eaten there before. While Lady & Sons is better known, this is MUCH BETTER FOOD! This is not a restaurant--this is a demonstration cooking school where Chef Joe prepares and explains the food, and then his... More

Hands down, the most incredible meal I've ever eaten. I thought that it being a southern meal, it'd be great comfort food. It was so much better than that. The flavors are out of this world! Eating a salad w Joe's buttermilk dressing is something I will never forget! A salad! And the pound cake.. Everything was incredible. Joe is... More
