If you're looking for a beautiful spot to take a nice walk and be rewarded at the end with a great view, this is it! I've actually only gone into the museum once. It was interesting, but once was enough. The walk to get there, though, is the real highlight. More

After completing the GG walk, go downhill for lovely scenery: woods, sea and GG bridge. Walk to the wharf, you'll find kids fishing crabs, seals cruising by, birds and a nice coffee shop (run by the parks authority). My favorite spot in SF. More

This is a great - flat walk, from Crissy Field, the architecture and views of the bay and the bridge are unbelievable - usually not too many folks here so you can really enjoy it. More

The dates for Ft. Point don't matter. We visit two - four times per year. Need to show visitors a great view of the GG from underneath. Also get to watch sail boards take air and the fog come in. Also gives one the opportunity to see where Kim Novak leaped into the bay in Vertigo. More

We went twice in January -- once for a nighttime candlelight tour, and again by day to see the exhibits and movies. By day we got to see the exhibits but still not finish them. Views from various levels of the fort are phenomenal by night or day. It was hard to believe I'd lived in the area for 25... More

Great view under the GGBridge...worth a stop and a tour through the Presidio. More

There it is, a civil war fort right under an arch in the Golden Gate Bridge. This is also where part of the movie Vertigo was filmed. Go on a weekend when it's open and you can walk around the this old fort where they have some historical exhibits displayed. Be sure to bring a jacket or coat, though since... More

A great time to go visit this historic landmark in San Francisco is when the surf is running high enough so that surfers are riding waves near the fort, almost under Golden Gate Bridge. It's fun to watch, and the fort has a very nice display, too. More

I love Fort Point. I always take visitors to see this unsuspected gem that hides underneath our iconic bridge. More

It has been well kept up and is a rare glimpse into what times were like when solders were stationed there. The staff was friendly and knowledgable the access to views was easy and the signs and stories were interesting More
