Hampden is a cute little neighborhood just west of Johns Hopkins University, with shops and artsy restaurants that are a hybrid of graduate student hangouts and real urban foodie delights. The neighborhood's old school working class row houses are increasingly populated with former Hopkins folks who decided to stay put and start families.. The used furniture stores are definitely worth... More

Hampden is quirky, congested and parking is always a challenge BUT I can not stay away from Charm City Skin. Ask for Camille if you want a hot stone massage that will land you on these pages.

Spent the afternoon here in and out of shops, Great finds and enjoyable atmosphere. Good coffee shops. looks like some nice place to catch a bite but we had already had lunch. Do find your way here if visiting Baltimore.

Hampden has come along way since I moved here in 1986. It used to be a run down, nothing of an area in Baltimore. Over the years it has grown into a quaint little area of exotic & interesting shops & restaurants. Its been cleaned up immensely & is much safer to walk the stores at night. The weekends are... More

They have an awesome book store. Plenty of restaurants and lots of cool things to look at. It is very eclectic and every store is different and many people are friendly. The charmery, an ice cream parlor that offers salty caramel ice cream yummy!

This neighborhood has a lot to offer, with many restaurants and cool stores. Check out the giant Pink Flamingo on "Hon Central!"

The real taste of Baltimore. Maybe the last one. A tight neighborhood with lots of funky pubs and eateries. If the greeting hi Hon, means anything to you, you'll love this place. The last accessible, bastion of the old blue collar Balmer, hon.

Hampden has something for everyone. Over the last decade it has become more upscale with new shops and restaurants being added, as well as new residents. There are several annual festivals and events that have been going on for many years. The largest of these is the "HonFest" which is held on West 36th street or as us locales know... More

My wife and I are Baltimore natives and we both have found Hamden to be our favorite area for a night out both with friends or on spur of the moment. The restaurants are plentiful and offer a wide range of cuisines and vibes and some are BYOB! There is something for everyone and every desire. Parking can be a... More
