If you turn onto Ponca street from Eastern avenue you will find the true heart of Greektown. St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. With a evening Greek School, Greek Dance classes and now a pre-school! It is the center of all the activities. The Greektown Square and Event Center is now nearly complete at 701 S. Ponca Street. You can host... More

I love the food options in Greek Town, but it's not necessarily the safest area. It's not very scenic either.

Having been to Greece several times, I guess I'm a little bit spoiled, but I felt Greek Town could have been better. It's worth a shot, and they tried but it doesn't feel like Greece. The food was okay, but just too much trash and too many American chains. If you want it to feel like Greece, then make it... More

The owner is really involved and visits the table to make your dinner more enjoyable. They also offer free desserts which consist of three different Greek dishes. Their new location is lovely

Coming into Baltimore by way of Eastern Ave.The first area you come to is Greek Town. This is the nexus of Greek food and culture in Baltimore.Every year Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church hosts the Greek Festival on Ponca Street. The Church itself is beautiful. After eating lunch you can continue on Eastern Ave to Paterson Park and take a walk.

This used to be the area where the Greeks had settled in Baltimore, and had a lot of local flavor. Now it's starting to become more Salvadoran than Greek. It was well worth a visit twenty years ago. It may well be worth a visit twenty years from now. In the interim, while it is in transition, it isn't as... More

Best restaurants for hamburgers and Greek delicacies: Ikaros and the Acropolis, both on Eastern Avenue.

The greek food was okay, I didn't mind many options as a vegetarian. I loved the cultural festivals in the summer.

Baltimore still has distinct ethnic areas. Greektown, although much smaller than it once was, is still there. There are some excellent Greek restaurants -- not like the restaurants in the suburbs.

Love the restaurants. The area is quaint and ethnic. Touted to be the next up and coming area in Baltimore
