We have been season subscribers to the Broadway Across America series at the Hippodrome for three years now. The theater is incredibly easy to get to. There is a parking garage connected to it. It gives off that old theater feeling once inside the auditorium but it's perfectly able to handle new shows like Wicked. Since it is older, the... More

If we hadn't already bought this year's season tickets, I probably wouldn't go back. Honestly, it's hard to find a bad seat in this theatre, even in the back, but the ushers were very rude. The show hadn't even started yet and wouldn't for another 15 minutes, but they came and told us to turn off our cell phones. Wouldn't... More

The seats in the balcony are a bit tight but doable. The Hippodrome brings in some nice shows and it is easily accessible from the Interstates. Since Parking is attached to the theater (usually $8-10), there is no need to go outside the theater's confines. I highly recommend using this garage.

We've been to the Hippodrome a number of times since it re-opened in February of 2004. They kept the original style which was nice. The view of the stage is pretty good from most areas of the seating. In the balcony seating the space between the rows of seats is a little tight. I'm 5'10" and my knees are practically... More

This place is beautiful! We saw Sister Act which was amazing. The staff was friendly, and the seats were very comfortable, being anole to eat and drink in the theater was nice too. Only negative thing I can say is that the prices were a bit high at the concessions. A great experience: a must see in Baltimore.

As noted by other reviewers...The Baltimore Grand parking garage is attached to the venue and very convenient, avoid walking too far if you are unfamiliar with the area - this is across the street from some good places AND some bad ones therefore caution is recommended. The inside of the venue is beautiful, but seating is challenging for my long... More

I have been to one concert and 2 musicals in the past few years. The renovation is absolutely gorgeous. The really kept with the historic nature of the theatre, but people are taller and bigger than 100 years ago. I am a slender 6'3" woman, and my knees were in the back of the seat in front of me. There... More

We have been to the Hippodrome dozens of time, and have never been disappointed. Its so convenient to see a Broadway touring show at this locale. Parking is just around the corner, but be careful - the neighborhood is LESS THAN PRISTINE. The theatre is beautiful, and there are several entrances so you are never stuck on a line. They... More

This theater is beautiful. Seats were comfortable. Staff was friendly. I'd go to a show again here for sure.

The Hippodrome is a decent venue, near the University of Maryland Medical Center and across from Alewife. Both street parking and garage parking is available. It's not always considered a great area and there aren't many date-ish food spots around, but that's no ding to the theater itself. I'd say the Hippodrome is mid-size, not on the larger end, but...
