The Hopkins campus is beautiful. Classic buildings and fabulous landscaping. Not a hair out of place. There are informative signs speaking to the history of this outstanding research institution. And the Baltimore Museum of Art and sculpture garden are right next door.

It's one of the major medical centers in the US, and new buildings have been built around the old ones to preserve these monuments to American medicine. The nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy for localized prostate cancer was developed here. The basic research programs continue to advance medical care, and the international outreach programs are world-famous.

I went to school here and got my master's degree (Canadian prime minister was the guest speaker at the commencement) but this location is not the best, the neighborhood is scary sometimes after dark but the closer surrounding area are still very beautiful.

We spent the day touring JHU as my son is considering applying. The facilities are first rate and I love the feel of campus. Pretty much all the buildings were open and you can tell they invest in their student environments. There are several quad areas and lots of green space. While JHU is located in Baltimore, the campus itself... More

the campus is beautiful. We took our high school-aged daughter for a (student-guided) tour of the campus. Our tour guides were fun and provided helpful information.

I stayed at a hotel across the street from the north side of campus. I walked throughout the grounds and went into a few buildings to get a sense of the school's atmosphere. They do have tours, like most colleges, but I chose not to. Nice place to find a tree, patch of grass or bench to read a book.... More
