Seating is ok. If you are in the balcony bring your binoculars. Staff is not very engaged, hospitable, nor helpful. Restrooms not well maintained.

Nice Comfortable Venue once your there. Not a bad seat in the house. Medium size arena and intimate stage, for national acts. Ticket prices vary, but are usually reasonable. One can see the performers from almost any angle. The size dictates a decent view. No "ant people" here. If you can see a national act of interest here, do it.... More

A newer series, the Peabody at the Lyric, featuring Kurt Weill "Street Scene" was what drew me to this historic opera house. I was quite impressed with the production, although the featured artists were mainly students at the Peabody Institute and not quite "professional" yet. There were some outstanding performers, however. The staging and design were very well done. Featured... More

Beautiful modernized historic concert hall. My husband was a professional freelance first-call trombone player in Baltimore in the late '70s and early '80s and he had backed up Patti LaBelle for two or three shows there in 1984 and he wanted me to see this theater. The acoustics are wonderful and the seats are comfortable and my husband is 6'6"... More

You CANNOT go wrong with sitting on the sides in these 2 theaters - - THEY ARE REGULAR CHAIRS that are not bolted down! SO MUCH ROOM! We always try for first or last row in one of these side sections. 1st row, you have the ledge to lean on. Last row, you can move your chairs up, back, sideways.... More

They Lyric Opera House is a nice local theater that is host to a variety of different shows. We saw So You Think You Can Dance and a few months before that we saw "The Voice". They make good use of the theater in that they have the performers in the isles of the theater at certain parts of the... More

So I bought my husband tickets to see Bob Dylan at Baltimore's Lyric Opera House for his birthday--he's a huge Dylan fan and we expected to have a good time. We did, sort of. While Dylan didn't disappoint, the venue did. Positives first: the Lyric Opera House is cool--great chandeliers, old-fashioned velvet seats, interesting architecture, and a really neat neighborhood... More

This once amazing building is still a terrific place to see a show just went to see Hannibal Buress and it is so nice not to be stuck in a concrete wall cold building with no style. With a little work and a lot of cash it could be back to it's original glory until then I will still go... More
