My wedding photographer recommended taking photos at Sherwood Gardens, and we are so glad he did! We went on a Sunday morning, and hardly anyone else was there. We missed the full bloom of the tulips, but there were plenty of beautiful azaleas and trees. Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful! This is definitely a "hidden gem" in Baltimore!

Our GPS continued to mislead us to our desired destination, but we finally found this enchanting garden. The tulips had just hit their peak the beginning of the week that we were there, so we were lucky to see such gorgeous colors. The beds are amazing! We were really impressed that the town also hosts a Tulip Dig ( it... More

Sherwood Gardens wasn't in full bloom, but what was blooming was magnificent. The site was full of people enjoying their first really nice weekend since winter ended. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everywhere people were taking photos as were we. The full range of colors was just beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed. You could take a picnic lunch there and dine... More

Pack a snack and have a great time with your family and enjoy this beautiful place!! Kids can run around in the green grass, adults can sit and relax in the tree shades.Spring is the perfect time to go there. It is free for the public and even then it is highly maintained.

We found our way to Sherwood Gardens one Saturday afternoon in July. What a beautiful spot! It came as no surprise that a couple was having their engagement photos taken there. My daughter and I pulled out our cameras and started taking photos. All in all, a quiet beautiful place to enjoy flowers and trees in a lovely Baltimore neighborhood.

We took a visit here because of the great reviews on this site, and other Baltimore garden websites, and were quite impressed! We went a bit after the peak of the tulip season so I can only speak for the area during this time of year since it was our first time and I don't know how the grounds are... More

I've been coming here since I was an infant and make sure to come back every spring I can. It's just a small park in a residential community, but it is immaculately taken care of. Though it's in the city, it's in the suburban section of Homeland and feels worlds away from the city. Definitely recommend visiting for the tulips,... More

What a beautiful venue!! Tucked in a neighborhood of stately mansion-like homes is this oasis of tulips, trees, green grass, and stone benches where you can sit and watch the people enjoying themselves as they picnic, play ball, and just enjoy this gem.

I have lived in Columbia for 30 years and never heard of Sherwood Gardens until this year thanks to google. I was looking for something to do in the spring. We went on a weekday when some tulips were not yet in bloom but the grace and the beauty and peacefulness of this area is so captivating. No visitor center,... More

The best time to visit Sherwood is tulip season! I go every year. They have so many varieties and the gardens are gorgeous! One year my husband and I took a little picnic and some champagne for my birthday, really fun! The next year (on my birthday) a bunch of friends spent a few hours there hanging out in the... More
