The tulips are the highlight, but visits any other time of the year are still rewarding. Great space to stroll about, sprawl with a book or an hour with a toddler. You can see and feel the pride the surrounding community takes in the gardens!

Sherwood Gardens is a beautiful place year-round, a peaceful garden in a lovely neighborhood. It's especially nice when the tulips are in bloom, around the last week in April and the first week in May.

I was lucky to be in Baltimore at just the right time (late April) and to remember Sherwood Gardens and stop by with a friend for a look and wander. It's a wonderful peaceful out-of-the-way park setting, in a pretty, high-end residential neighborhood with stately houses all around. And the tulips when they're all in bloom are spectacular!

Even when the tulips aren't in bloom yet, this garden area is big and peaceful and well taken care of. Just laying in the grass to gather your thoughts is worth the trip to Sherwood. You can have a picnic, or bring your dog. Great place to take pictures too.

Come early, bring a lunch, stay late. Kids, puppies, grandparents, musicians, just about everybody's favorite place in spring. Tolerant neighbors put up with our love of their neighborhood park from the first bloom of tulips to the fading of the azaleas. Be prepared to cirlce the block til you can park and be nice, don't honk it'll spoil the zen... More

My wedding photographer recommended taking photos at Sherwood Gardens, and we are so glad he did! We went on a Sunday morning, and hardly anyone else was there. We missed the full bloom of the tulips, but there were plenty of beautiful azaleas and trees. Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful! This is definitely a "hidden gem" in Baltimore!

Our GPS continued to mislead us to our desired destination, but we finally found this enchanting garden. The tulips had just hit their peak the beginning of the week that we were there, so we were lucky to see such gorgeous colors. The beds are amazing! We were really impressed that the town also hosts a Tulip Dig ( it... More

Sherwood Gardens wasn't in full bloom, but what was blooming was magnificent. The site was full of people enjoying their first really nice weekend since winter ended. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everywhere people were taking photos as were we. The full range of colors was just beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed. You could take a picnic lunch there and dine... More

Pack a snack and have a great time with your family and enjoy this beautiful place!! Kids can run around in the green grass, adults can sit and relax in the tree shades.Spring is the perfect time to go there. It is free for the public and even then it is highly maintained.

We found our way to Sherwood Gardens one Saturday afternoon in July. What a beautiful spot! It came as no surprise that a couple was having their engagement photos taken there. My daughter and I pulled out our cameras and started taking photos. All in all, a quiet beautiful place to enjoy flowers and trees in a lovely Baltimore neighborhood.
