Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the grounds at Cylburn Arboretum. I had bad timing, it was mid summer and after a major storm we had in area. The mansion was under repair and the all of the blooms were out of season. There was nothing to see but green on top of green. But its free to visit. It... More

Do not miss the new building on the site - it's near the parking lots. There are wonderful educational displays inside and out. And be sure to visit the restroom (whether you need to or not) to see the innovative composting toilets. The manion on site is nice, too, and sometimes there are classical concerts there. Outdoors, there are several... More

A lovely place to spend an afternoon. The best time to visit is spring when flowers and plants - the likes of which you may never see elsewhere are in full bloom

Like allowing dogs on leash. The arboretum has completed some major sprucing up this past year or so and it is wonderful!

This was a museum which was donated to the city, and has all kinds of different wonderful little gardens. I grew up a half block away, and am still surprised whenever I go back.

Cylburn Gardens is a beautiful, tranquil oasis not well known or patronized by people who live in Baltimore City or Baltimore County although it should be. It is composed of different shady and sunny gardens, some awash in gorgeous colors like the rose gardens we visited today. It also has a visitors’ center as well as a nature center in... More

The grounds and garden are much improved in the last few years. A morning walk through the paths and lawns is a wonderful experience. The mansion house needs painting, but the insides are fairly well restored.

Did not have time to walk around much, but the lil bit we saw was very pretty; the mansion was closed (we got there after hrs). Would make awesome background for Easter or Wedding pix. A lot of the daffodils were done blooming, but there were enough other things in bloom to be pretty. would like to go back for... More

Lovely patch of green, great for walking around and enjoying nature. There is a little museum tucked away behind the mansion, which was quite interesting.
