Took a glass blowing course here which taught me just how much I didn't know about the process. Also, made the mistake of taking it in August during a spate of 95+ degree temperatures. The instructor demo'd each step and let us take our time in getting the hang of the different steps. They all make it look so easy!

This was a great experience! My boyfriend and I took a bottle of wine and some snacks. Hung out and watched Tim do a few great demonstrations then we got to make our own Christmas ornaments. Tim took time to work with each person individually! It started at seven and I suggest getting there early or at 7. There is... More

Having visited another studio this month, (because McFadden was completely booked), I can't wait to return to McFadden! In comparison to another local facility, McFadden far out weighs in terms of experiences, quality, and knowledge. The owners of McFadden are amazingly generous with their time. From our visit to McFadden, we have beautiful ornaments that WE made. Each step of... More

I was in a group of 6 glass blowing amateurs and we all loved it. Tim and Rose, the owners, are fantastic instructors, just like other reviewers have noted. They are patient and helpful to each visitor, and you can make some really cool pieces! Like we were told, if you can follow basic instructions, you can do this. I... More

I was there with my older daughter's GS troop and it was so much fun that I toop my own troop there too. Most of the girls are 12-14 years old but a few younger siblings (9 years old) and an a few adults made projects. Everyone was surprised at how beautiful their creations came out. They didn't look like... More

My family (six non-artistic adults aged 30 and up) had a blast blowing glass pieces at McFadden Art Glass. As other reviewers commented, Tim is an excellent teacher. He's a very talented artist -- check out his gallery for some beautiful works. I'm sure we'll be talking about how much fun we had for many vacations to come. A couple... More

My boyfriend and I attended date night on Friday night and it was a great evening. You can bring beer or wine and watch Tim blow some awesome glass pieces. After a few pieces the interactive portion begins and you can make your own pieces with his assistance. He is an awesome teacher with the patience of a saint. Most... More

I've taken a lot of classes -- college, graduate, life enrichment, you name it. Tim McFadden is without a doubt the most effective, patient, thorough instructor I've ever had. That is rather important when you're about to handle molten glass. He's got a great dog, too. :-)

My husband made reservations as a surprise for me as I have wanted to do this for sometime. Tim was awesome. Super friendly and informative. Like the other reviewer said, he really lets you do it yourself unless you are about to mess something up. I made a flower and my husband made a paperweight. Tim is going to ship... More
