A few of my friends and I sailed the afternoon sail with Virgil in August 2013 and had a grand time learing about the bay and the history of the city. Virgil and his assistant catered to our every need. The sailboat is beautiful and comfortable! Do not miss this adventure!

Captain Virgil and Nikki his assistant were amazing. We learned so much about the local history, they were both incredibly friendly, pleasant to deal w, three hours flew by! It was my birthday so in my honor Captain opened a bottle of champagne which was quite a treat!!! You will enjoy the sailing, the views, the pleasantness and joy of... More

My wife and I visited Baltimore for our anniversary and she surprised me with a private sunset sailing. We arrived early and were quickly greeted as they were still setting up. We brought a bottle of wine, cheese and meat which they placed into the fridge. The captain pulled out from the harbor and began the cruise. He was very... More

Where to begin? I had made the reservations for a private 3 hr. sail in and around the Inner Harbor with Captain Virgil about a month in advance and was pleased to find him competent, courteous and considerate throughout the entire transaction (recommended start times to catch the sunset, called a few times to make me aware of pending weather... Great views of the harbor and the fort from the water. Had a perfect day with steady winds. Captain Virgil was very interesting.

Our family of four including a high schooler and a young adult went on the 3 hour harbor cruise with Captain Virgil and found it to be a relaxing and informative way to "meet" Baltimore. The captain's historical knowledge of Baltimore exceeded my expectations. He also has a family background in making a living from the waters of the Chesapeake,... More

We had an opportunity to take time away from hectic meetings and ventured to historic Fells Point with Captain Virgil and Harbor Sail. A relaxing afternoon into the area of Harborplace and to the outer harbor where there are many sites to see of the city and beyond to Fort McHenry. The crew was cheerful and made our time on... More

Most people don't get to see the inner harbor from the water looking in. Its a completely different perspective, one which Harbor Sail provides. I've spent my whole life in Baltimore but learned an incredible amount about the city from Captain Virgil. Very relaxing with lots wine and sunshine : )

Captain Virgil is a true professional, with a passion for sailing and for his hometown of Baltimore. In short, we sailed for 3-hours in the Baltimore inner and greater harbor and loved every minute of it. The boat was a beautiful, clean 41-foot Hunter. Captain Virgil and his First Mate made sure that we had everything we needed and even... More
