I enjoyed the city because of the transporation available. Of course I did drive too. But I felt safe. Baltimore is an old city with steel milll docks and beer breweys. IF YOU LIKE TO WALK YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

This is a fun museum where you can learn about the industrial revolution and some local history. The exhibits are immersive and engaging and the classes and facilitated activities are very unique! Learn about canning, the garment industry, and printing presses all in one visit. The social offerings for adults are fun and the space itself is fantastic with a... More

We just happened to see the sign for this while on the Charm City Circulator free bus while riding around Baltimore. We decided to come back and see it. My husband grew up in Baltimore and it was like a trip down memory lane. It is not to be missed. It's unfortunate that it is off the beaten path and... More

This venue was really cool for a wedding! It was great that you were able to walk around the museum. The theatre area was a great setting with picture taking and a lot of fun. Considering the space with tables, it was a little tight with 10 people at a table. It did get a little warm with so many... More

An outside the box museum that brings the past to life in so many ways for all ages. They have exhibits that are presented in such a way as to take you back in time so that you can imagine when a trip to DC took all day or more, and appreciated the challenges of building the initial infrastructure of... Fascinating museum on the industrial role played by Baltimore. Could easily spend a whole afternoon here. Military discount.

A well rounded educational experience about the history of industry in this area from over the past two hundred years. One can spend hours here but the informative, knowledgable and well read tour guide saved us hours from checking this place out. His dry sense of humour was over the heads of the children in attendance but his involvement of... More

Really interesting museum. We went on a Saturday, which is probably the best day to go because live demonstrations and guided tours are available. If you can't get the tour, watch the introductory movie near the door you come in, which covers done of the same highlights and other iterates that you won't catch just walking through on your own.... We visited this medium-sized, fascinating museum, but only had two hours to spend. Our friendly tour guide was excellent, and provided a good overview. My wife particularly enjoyed learning about the garment industry, and reflecting on the "unskilled" labor provided by women and children in bygone days. My favorite was the working Linotype machine, operated by a volunteer life-long expert... More
