This is a great museum !! After you pay, there is an inside museum with the most amazing model rail cars I have ever seen. Also clock and china displays. Really interesting history !! The museum loses one point because of the train ride that they offer. It was a very short ride on a few MARC commuter cars & the section of Baltimore that you travel through is less than picturesque. I've lost count of how many Railroad Museums & Heritage Railroads I've visited but it is approaching 100. This one ranks somewhere in the top 10 in the world on my ratings. The roundhouse setting is very nice and the historical engines are a nice collection. However, the $12.00 admission seems quite high. The next day I had just as good an experience at the PA Transportation Museum in Strasburg, PA for only $6.00, plus there was lots more for children to do there.
