We stopped by during an August weekend spent in Baltimore. The museum is easily accessible via the free Circulator. We were very impressed with the friendly staff and overall openness of the museum. An art restorer was working her craft at an open window so visitors could see what she was doing. She stopped what she was doing when she... More

Not be be missed is the intersection of great religions exhibit of the middle east. For the young guys--they will love the knights in armor. 5,000 years of pieces of art. Amazing.

My kids, who range in age from 4-13, all really enjoyed this place. With the fact that this is free, it should be a must do.

Baltimore has to very good museums and these often are dimnished in the shadow of the museums in Washington, DC and Philadlphia. But take the time.

Just a short walk from my hotel, this museum was quite a surprise! My girlfriend and I were recommended this by a cousin of mine who grew up nearby. I was amazed by all of the surrounding history as well as the exhibits within the wonderful Walters art museum. A wide variety of artwork exists within. I only wish I... More

The Walters is one of my favorite museums anywhere. It has such variety--American and World works of art, sculpture, ancient artifacts, jewelry, architecture through the ages, clothing, weaponry, furniture, books/manuscripts, etc., etc., etc. There is truly something for everyone at the Walters.

This is a nice place to visit... that's free! I'm not enough of an art buff to pay but fore free it was great. All sorts of old things to see, the mummy was my favorite. It wasn't hard to get too, just took charm city connector (free) bus and we were there in less than 10 minutes.

We need to make another trip to spend more time there. It's likely we could make a few trips over the coming years. If you like art, sculptures and reading about some of the past of the region, you'd like this museum.

quiet open space in lovely building. I only spent about 10 minutes there, it was about to close, but it seemed like a very peaceful museum
