Our kids just love the place and they spent the entire morning there, not wanting to leave! You can keep the bracelets on and return any time during the same day but we didn't return cuz the kids were all tired out by the afternoon. 4 level of play and learning, including rooms dedicated to smaller kids/toddlers. It's like an over sized fun zone just for kids. Parent's, it'll give you some nice sit down rest time. That's pretty much what we used it for when I was showing my God-sister and her family the inner harbor. More

We visited in the afternoon on a weekday and it was initially crowded with several students on a field trip. However, it cleared out quickly and then the museum was almost empty. My 9mo old and I visited the Tot Trail, the water room, a few random exhibits, and the gift shop. Entry into the museum was easy. The Tot... More

Unless you can tolerate children who are not supervised by their parents, screaming and running around very bare bones displays, you would not miss anything to just skip this. More

Port Discovery is a kids fantasy land from the moment they walk in the door until it's time to leave. They have nonstop activities and all the kids there seem to enjoy being around so many other kids. My boys, ages(2, 7, 10) never get bored. Every level has great displays and things to interact with. I have achieved the... More

We just moved here from Texas and wanted to find a fun place to take our kids. The location is so fun being on the harbor and the museum itself is super cool. I did feel like my 4 year old wanted to do more than she could. My 1 year old had lots of fun areas, but the main... More

Went with my 6 yr and 13 yr old kids and was a little disappointed. The place looks and feels a little beaten up. They have some good ideas, only need to make it more catchy. My daughter loved the exhibit on nano materials. The explorers section (going through an Egyption pyramid) was cool. Other than, not much to write... More

We went on a discount night (thank you,Taget for supporting the community). Having never been to Port Discovery, but to other kids museum, our expectations were that there would be lots of fun stuff to do. What we found was an aging museum with mostly broken exhibits. The climbing area was fun for a few minutes but event that lacked... More

We used to go to the Discovery Museum of SF Bay Area when we lived there. This place pales in comparison. The only thing my kids (5 and 8 y.o. boys) loved was the gas station set up with a car. Some of the exhibits (mystery ones) I didn't really get and there were just too many kids running around... More

On Saturday, I had plans to meet my friend and her two children at Port Discovery. We had never been but my neighbor is a member and has told me how much her family enjoys it. After reading Keerstn’s review, I almost didn’t go. However, my daughters have been talking about going to Port Discovery for weeks, and I didn’t... More
