Lots of wonderful history

All you would want to know about the Lewis and Clark expedition. The recreation of their camp is really interesting. The museum is stuffed with artifacts.

Not a lot here, but worth the drive. If you know Lewis and Clark then I think you will be able to appreciate the history. If you don't, then maybe this will inspire you to learn a little more. It is a wonderful story. The park itself has a nice boardwalk if you want to take a hike (maybe 1.25... More

We walked through trails in beautiful wooded areas, saw gorgeous coastlines with cliffs, rocks, sand, trees, wild flowers, crashing waves and beautiful views of lighthouses! If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, this a place to experience and drink in the views!

Nice drive through the park and scenery was very nice. Raining a bit and misty but very quaint and enjoyable. This is a very relaxing place to go.

I am a huge Lewis & Clark fan so the Astoria, OR, area was on my list to visit. The historical site has an excellent visitors center and parking is free. Do come to learn the history of this area. It's amazing.

Fort Clatsop is cool, as is the National Park Visitor Center...up to par with what you'd expect from historic stuff in a venue like that. Cape Disappointment does not, one of the most beautiful places in the area (and that's saying a lot for northern Oregon / southern Washington along the coast). But there's no continuity between the parks other... More

Considering it is a national park, my expectations were high. There is a very nice museum that is on the smaller side and a reproduction of the winter camp fort. It takes less than an hour to see--longer if you watch the movies.

What more do you need to say. Fort Clatsop was the winter site for Lewis and Clark in 1805 to 1806. This site it will worth the time to visit. We went on to Fort Stevens and had a late lunch a Cannon Beach, Or. at the Ecola Market . Great Food.

Well this was not the first time I have been to Astoria but it was the first time I heard about the Lewis and Clark Historical Park. We visited a few of the sites although I am primarily writing about Fort Clatsop which seemed to be the main one (in Oregon at least.) The visitor center was very informative and... More
