We've been up to Jacksonville to hear the Jax Symphony several times and it seems each time is better & better. What is so nice about the Jax Symphony is you don't just sit there & listen to an orchestra. They often provide visuals, humor, performing artists, etc. to stimulate your senses. Each Conductor has his own special personality that... More

Got last minute tickets online for this performance, what a mix of symphonic, jazz and pop music. So worth the drive downtown and dealing with a rainy evening for a wonderful show.

Adds some well needed culture and fun to our city. Beautiful orchestra and a great place to spend a weekend or week day evening with a loved one or friend.

Most recently enjoyed the Men of Broadway Pops concert! We are looking forward to Tchaikovsky Friday night and upcoming John Williams concert in May.

I was in town this past weekend and seeing the Jacksonville Symphony was a part of the scheduled itinerary. Absolutely loved them! Had wonderful seats in Orchestra Section. Looking around the venue as we waited for the performance to start, it seemed as if you wouldn't have a bad seat in the house. I would definitely return to see them... More

We went tot he symphony last weekend to see the symphony perform with 4 very talented singers showcasing Broadway tunes. The orchestra and singers were all outstanding but unfortunately for the first act we had poor second level box seats that had an obstructed view and you were behind the speakers so that you could not hear the singers. We... More

We went for their monthly series that they have and this time it was a great trumpet player and his dad who played the piano. They were both just awesome. Appealed to all ages.

I remember seeing the Jax Symphony when I was younger and they played a variety of music for an audience of all ages. Now it seems they stick to music for the older generation. I am now the older generation but my heart stays young. Perk it up... play music that make us feel our younger years. Surprise us and... More

We like opera, but are not experts. Nevertheless, we watch opera on DVD's at home and have attended operas in other cities, including the Met in NYC, Alla Scala in Milan, and Sydney. So we do have a basis for comparison. Perhaps Otello is too far from "common" for those of us who don't know opera well, but we found... More
