Lovely trail with history, shade, and exercise. Depending on when you go-you may need bug spray and be sure to carry drinking water. Beautiful nature trail with plenty of green and animals. Lots of families take advantage of this free trail. It is a blast.

This is an awesome bike trail. It is very long but you can turn around at any time. There is a variety of landscape and scenery. The are a few roads to cross but they are not big. Large portions are covered in trees so even in the heat of the day there is cover.

This is also a great place for us older walkers, especially if you park at Ft. Milton. It's in the middle portion of the trail, and you can either head toward Baldwin or Imeson, learn about the Civil War encampment history, or enjoy the solitude. ALWAYS bring your own garbage bag and water, and remember to Take Out What You... More

The trail is clean, mostly flat, spacious, and scenic. Went the full 29 mile round trip from trail head on Imeson to Baldwin and back on my bike with two others. There is plenty of space to do a few sprint intervals and ride leisurely if you so chose. I do recommend you bring your flat kit, though. Some parts... More

The path is paved and shaded for the majority of the ride, providing beautiful views and a break from the Florida sun. It's rarely crowded and there are plenty of places to stop off to the side and enjoy a packed lunch. A favorite activity in Jacksonville, be sure to bring plenty of water!

As an older bicycle rider I'm a big fan of Rails to Trails and have been on most of them around Florida. My favorite by far is the stretch of the Jacksonville-Baldwin trail that starts at its Camp Milton mid-point and goes on to Baldwin. Camp Milton is itself is a nice park with a boardwalk and benches on which... More

I recently purchased a new bike. I learned about this trail from the bike shop. This is an excellent place to enjoy a bike ride. The terrain is mostly level. There are very few highways that need to be crossed. It is covered by trees for a large portion which makes for a more comfortable ride. Remember to bring plenty... More

I just bought a new road bike, and to learn to ride with clips this has been the perfect location. Very few roads to cross, usually with little traffic, then free and clear. People on the trail are always friendly and helpful. Great facility!

This is a paved 15 mile trail, with several interesting stops along the way. Lots of shade. Make sure you have plenty of water, especially if you start at the eastern trail head, you'll need to ride almost halfway before reaching a place to refill. It's a straight line ride on mostly flat terrain. just remember when you ride, that... More

This trail is perfect for biking. At least three-quarters of it is shaded by trees on both sides. Very quiet and clean. Just need to watch out for those hard-core bike racers, speeding by every minute at at least 30m/hour or more. If you plan to just do laid-back cruising, stay on the right side of the trail.
