This place is really special. Long stretches of pristine pavement broken up by farms and wildlife. After you get 5 miles out the traffic thins out and you have the trail virtually to yourself. The tree canopy is spectacular just after sunrise with the really special places being the small bridge near Camp Milton and the curve at the railroad... More

I really enjoy using this trail. So far I've only biked on it, but I see lots of happy joggers when I'm on it. It's very shaded, the intersections are well marked, and for the most part the trail is in great shape (there are a couple spots with bumps but they are easy to see). It's a really nice... More

We stumbled upon this little gem while driving in the country on HWY121 and ending up in Baldwin. A very nice, flat walking track that is also wonderful for the grandkids and their bikes.

This is not the trail to hit in the Florida summer heat. The trail is a long straight stretch of old trackbed stretching 14 miles or so. When you get to the end, there is nothing in terms of a refreshment stand, so bring your own fluids. The Baldwin end is begging for a cafe (hint, hint). On the positive... More

Really like riding this trail. Usually went around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. At about the 7 mile mark there was always gun shots (target practice, I assume). I did see a couple water moccasins sunning themselves and another time an owl. The canopy of trees is a nice break from the sun. Relaxing ride.

Discipline is what you need to workout. Perfect place for a quiet safe walk/run/ride. Security cameras at parking lot. Friendly regulars looking out for everyone.

For bikes, joggers, roller bladers. 12 1/2 mile trail from Jacksonvilles Westside into Baldwin on the old SAL Railroad line. Nice wide paved trail. Starts off crossing a few roads and then gets out in the country. Shaded. Plenty of places to stop and rest.

This trail is about as good as it gets for a bike trail. The trail is in mint condition with restrooms and water along the way. The middle part of the trail is shaded with tall trees. Jacksonville to Baldwin has mile markers and the entire trail is 14.5 miles. We biked from Baldwin to Jacksonville and back. I recommend... More

Some reviews here are a little outdated regarding facilities. There are now cameras installed at the Imeson parking lot and a very helpful fellow explained that there haven't been any more vehicle breakins that he knew of. We had absolutely no problems. My camera battery died, or we would have had more pictures of the facilities. There are facilities and... More

The trails are wide and well maintained. There's plenty to see and u feel like your not in the middle of a city anymore. People are generally friendly as you pass by and there are places to stop, rest and use restrooms.
