Paved trail runs 15 miles (30 roundtrip) from Imeson Road in Jacksonville to Baldwin. Parking and restroom facilities are available at both ends of the trail and at the 5-6 mile point - Camp Milton Historic Preserve. Trail is mostly rural passing by some homes, farmland, pasture, wetlands and pines. Trees overhanging the trail provide shade. This is a wonderful... More

At least 3-4 times a year we walk or bike the Baldwin Trail. Beautiful at different times of the year. Alot of small wildlife... even a small non-poisonous snake on the trail, a cotton mouth moccasin in the creek and many rabbits! Never know what you may see next so take a leisurely stroll and slow down especially on an... More

If you time it right, this trail can be a peaceful, serene place to walk, bike. If not, be ready for loud families, groups, cyclists and skaters as they bring their noise with them from the city. Some cyclist can sneak up on you, so keep your eyes/ ears open and stay to the right. Overall, when I go, I... More

The Baldwin Trail offers to my family a wonderful athletic experience of either biking, or walking or running. From woods to beautiful small home town secluded homes to an old train station.

The Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail is fairly wide of smooth asphalt with trees on both sides. It is approximately 14.5 miles long and has several restroom facilities and benches along the trail. I walk the trail with my wife, haven't done the whole trail yet, but will when I get a chance. Great place to bike, run or walk - get... More

This is one of the most popular sections of the local rail-to-trail course in the Jacksonville area. Good for bikers, hiking, running or just a pleasant stroll if you go early in the morning or when it's not too crowded. Mostly shaded and with pleasant natural views, there are a few spots with definite North Jax flavor, but for the... More

This trail is very near my home. My husband and I spend many hours walking along the trail. When we are up to it, we bicycle along the trail and view the beautiful Florida landscape. Everyone is very friendly usually.

The Baldwin Trail is fairly wide (8 feet or so) of smooth asphalt with trees on both sides. It is a fairly long trail, (30 miles) so you should be reasonably fit and have a multi-speed bicycle, preferably a road bike as opposed to a trail bke with thicker tires. It is a safe trail with just a few road... More
