Even though I have lived in Jacksonville for many years, I had never been to this park until I was looking for a place to take my daughters Senior Prom photos. Beautiful little well kept park with wild flowers and lots of shade.

I've done a few photography shoots here and the photos always turns out awesome. It has nice flowers, greenery and paths. It's also great for walking or hiking. Love it.

Once you are back in the woods, walking through the hills next to a stream, you would swear that you are not in Florida. Definitely worth checking out.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home to Minnesota from a trip to Florida. We wanted a leg stretcher before a long drive and were in for a treat. You can make this hike as short or as long as you'd like. And there's no cost! We went on a lovely Friday and it wasn't crowded. Trail... More

I cannot believe that I have not ever been here! My husband and I went to do a little hiking. We were looking for a longer hike and the route says they have around 2 miles. Well we managed to make it a little over 3 1/2. There are several different trails that intertwine. Many of the plants and flowers... More

We visited here on our recent trip to Jacksonville. This is an excellent place to go on a hike and learn about Northern Florida Flora. We have never hiked in this type of terrain before and were greatly impressed with the trees and plant life, many of which we have never seen before! It is great that Jacksonville has this... More

This is definately a place to take your family and kids to if you are trying to get away from the "everyday busy life" here in Jacksonville. You should subscribe to their newsletter so you can be aware of upcoming programs/lectures that take place here. Very educational

The word ‘arboretum’ is used quite generously here. Though the plants and trees are marked, it is more like a state park. That said, there is no admission fee, and the park grounds are well maintained. We had a fun and brisk nature walk, which we all enjoyed. This is a nice “attraction” to include toward the end of your... More

Great 5 year old Park. All kinds of different short trails......all trails loop back to Lake loop. Hard to get lost! Nice lake, creeks and even 25 foot tall ravine. Special events (Plein Air painters event in Spring, Very cool Art in Nature event for 5th anniversary November 2013), really a nice quiet place. Dogs on leashes are Ok too.... More

We walked a couple of the trails and got the nearby Letterbox Cache as well! It was really nice that they had signs by the trees and plants so we knew what we were looking at. Just watch your step as there are a lot of tree roots on the path but it wasn't to strenuous for me!
