My kids went with my sister and they raved about this place! My youngest learned so much and he was so excited when he was telling me about the feeding and hearing the tigers roar. the pictures looked amazing! I'm jealous and can't wait to go! It was very reasonably priced

I had booked the nighttime feeding tour as a surprise for my 12 year old daughter during our trip to St. Augustine. The drive wasn't bad & it was SO worth it! We had booked it online so when we arrived we just showed them our emailed tickets & walked right in. After a short video our tour started. At... More

Don't let the sketchy looking neighborhood and exterior keep you from going in. It's really nice once you go in. Very well maintained and well organized. Everyone that works there are volunteers and they are knowledgeable and friendly. The walkway is dirt so your shoes get dusty (and maybe muddy if it rains) so be aware of that and although... More

Considering the alternative, life for the cats at Catty Shack is a wonderful thing. They are accommodated well, cared for, appropriately fed, and loved. What a heart warming experienced we had last evening.

See the tigers roar! The night feeding tours are absolutely incredible. You get an informative tour from a volunteer and then you get to see the tigers and other cats fed in the evening. They get SOOOO excited when the food is coming. It's just amazing to see and hear these powerful animals. Definitely a must see if you're ever... More

Very unique place. Looks like a shady place from outside but nice in the back. Check website for visit times. Must go to the night feeding. Awesome experience. Tour guides take you through the back and talk to you about all the animals. Then they let you free roam. Night feeding was amazing. All the cats were roaring and running... More

If you like big cats you have to go and see the cats in Catty Shack. The animals seem happy and playful. The tour guide tells interesting stories about the cats and answers your questions.

We arrived about 6:40 pm and caught one of the last tours of the evening with plenty of time to spare to observe the animals after our tour. They gave us a military discount and I think the total came to $38 for 2 adults and one child; well worth it. We watched a short interesting movie. Then, our informative... More

A guided tour of these rescued, big cats. Afternoon /night time is better, as cats sleep during the day. WAAAY better than a zoo. Your admission goes directly to help these animals. Guides are knowledgeable, answer your questions and genuinely CARE about these animals. good for the whole family!

I live in Jacksonville, visit often, and highly recommend visiting Catty Shack. It is not fancy. All emphasis is on the animals - their care and welfare. The facility is run solely by volunteers. The animals are beautiful creatures and close enough to see their markings. Night feedings are especially entertaining as the cats are pacing, active, and noisy. Eager... More
