Been to a play and a concert. Old theatre but beautifully preserved. Parking downtown can be tricky but there's a parking garage you can pay to park at right before the theatre. From the outside it looks like nothing fancy but inside you'll be looking up and all around at the way they inside looks!

Lovely historic building, nicely restored. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The area is not too appealing and doesn't have a lot of restaurants to offer.

You can see up and coming artists or the oldies in this place. Comedy, drama, singing it can handle it all. Its not real big but the acoustics are great. stacked sitting so really no bad seats any where. The stairs are kinda of steep. and the bathrooms are obviously on the main level. Not really an issue unless you... More

Nice Old Theatre, very ornate, musty odor when doors opened. Did not notice wheelchair accessibility ramp upon entering. Very Good Show (Americas Got Talent). Highly recommend anyone who likes the show to go to it, very funny and much interaction between preformers. Well worth the money

Pros: * Acoustics are excellent * Refreshment/bar staff placed throughout the building * Restroom facilities are updated * Private entrance for benefactors * Comfortable seating * Great view from... I have actually been to the Florida Theatre many times, and I would certainly go again. Two of my most memorable concerts were Allison Krauss and Union Station and Jackson Browne. Even though it looks small, it actually seats lots of people. The seats are comfortable and even in the nosebleed section there is really not a bad seat in... More

The Florida Theater is a great place for many concerts I have seen Air Supply, Ted Nugent, and many more. I would certainly tell everyone to go and enjoy any of your favorite band. This is the bast place to sit back and have a great time.

This is the place for small venue concerts and performances in Jacksonville. The acoustics are incredible and you enjoy can a wide variety of entertainment from a comfortable seat in this beautiful theatre. There is no bad seat in the house plus here are three bars for drinks and light concessions. Plentiful parking is nearby and a donation to become... More

The Florida Theatre opened April 8th, 1927. The Florida Theatre was the largest theatre in the state at the time, and the “Florida Times-Union” praised its “unsurpassed architectural beauty and perfection of appointments.” I loved going to the movies when I was a child, and I love to go to the Florida Theatre today. When you compare the drab theatres... More
