Fun old Theatre

Historic, Intimate, of the gilded age. Saw the final show of the Magicians convention. Show was so so, but the Theatre was nice

Step back in time as this theatre is strikingly beautiful and ornate. Great overhang and not a bad seat in the whole house.

Gorgeous interior! Easy to pay park, walk in, nice bar/concession, nice staff & didn't see a bad seat. Rows are narrow, but most old theaters are like that. The music sounded great ~ great night with favorites from younger days ... Pure Prairie League, Firefall and Atlanta Rhythm Section.

What a joy to experience classic design in a Theater. In this day and age of multiplexes, theaters like the Florida Theater are great touchstones to the past and magnificence of live theater!

The Florida Theater is a setting for a concert that gives one that intimate concert feeling of yesteryear. I really wish that the concert venues of Javksonville would adopt a policy of not seating late arrivals until a proper break.

We have been small theatre-goers and Rep Theatre ticket holders from Milwaukee, WI. Now retired in St. Mary's, GA, we were taken here by our son and daughter-in-law on a Father's Day gift. We saw Hairspray, and it was fantastic! The cast was incredibly talented for small theatre, and the performance, the production and the quality of the singing was... More

great local theater and staff that attracting new and old performers is amazing. It's a great place for schools' field trips and for families to visit.

A niche in Jacksonville's history. I have visited this theater since the 1950's. When I was a young lad I went to see Elvis Presley perform there. Sadly, the theater was not taken care of and closed several decades ago. Finally the city and business leaders financed it's restoration and brought back life to a beautiful theater. The interior is... More

As others have mentioned, there are no bad seats. The theater itself is gorgeous! Such a beautiful piece of history in downtown Jacksonville. You might get lucky and find a place to park on the street, but more than likely you will have to pay to park in one of the garages or lots. I have been here several times... More

Not a Bad seat in the house. Sound is great anywhere you sit as well. It is a cool old time theater.
