I have been in awe since I first went there on one of my Lackawanna school boy patrol trips. It will always be a fond memory being called upon stage for a paddleball contest. Although I didn't win, what a thrill to be on the stage looking out at the audience. This is a "must see" place, just pick out... More

I attended an event at this theatre, and it is a beautiful old building with old chandeliers and ornate ceilings and walls. My biggest concern was how packed it was while trying to get to the bathrooms, the bar, and the exit (my seat was upstairs). Really tight and a bit frightening. Acoustics seemed to be good from the stage.... More

Great venue for a concert! All seats have good views and you feel part of the event. Good parking close by.

A piece of the regal past when building materials were real and not plastic. Excellent acoustics. Have seen several acts here like the Moody Blues, Judy Collins, Ritchie Havens.. If you get a chance go!

We felt truly welcomed at the Florida Theater. What a great Concert Derek & Julianne put on for a crowded audience. Dancing, entertaining, fun and non-stop laughter. An amazing close up to Dancing with The Stars finest. Way to go Florida Theater

Having grown up in Jacksonville I've been to the Florida Theatre many times, in fact I saw Elvis perform there. Yes, I am that old! ;-) I attended my daughter and 2 granddaughters recital there last year, yes they were all in the same recital. Built in 1927 during the period when the venues were built for live acts as... More

I've been to the Florida Theatre many times for dance recitals when my daughter was younger and it was perfect. I recently went to a Huey Lewis concert at the Florida Theatre and it was definitely better than I expected. We sat in the back in the balcony, but the seats were great and the staff were very nice. I... More

It reminds me of a place your went to see a movie or a presentation set in the early days of film, a very ornate facility. It is a large movie type theater where I have seen Journey, Barry Mantalow, Celtic Dancers and many more. While there is no parking at the theater, the city has several lots and a... More

Have seen a few productions her and there is not a bad seat in the house. The only issue I could see would be if you have vertigo. Not to big, just right to feel intimate with the performance.
