We have been here many times to see live concerts, holiday shows and old movies. When you step into the theater you feel like you're stepping back into the 1950s, when Elvis Presley first performed here live. There is an old world charm to this theater which originally opened in the '20's. Looking forward to seeing Peter White's Christmas show... More

My wife and I saw the Jeanne Robertson show here over this past weekend. It was our first visit to the theater. This is a quaint old theater that is still undergoing a restoration. The seating was comfortable considering the age of the venue (sorry no plush stadium seating in 1900). We sat in the balcony and had a great... More

What a great little place to hear music. It is a beautiful little theater; well preserved with chandeliers, moldings etc., right out of the 30's. Holds about 2500 people an not a bad seat in the house; and very comfortable too. Easy downtown location. Nice bar in the front of the house. One of my favorite concert spots in all... More

My sister and I celebrated her birthday by attending the Melissa Ethridge concert at The Florida Theater. The theater is old but has charm and personality. Had first row mezzanine seats that were amazing, and unlike many venues the seats were comfortable and roomy. Melissa Ethridge put on an unbelievable show...two hours of shear brilliance. She is a consummate musician... More

Much like the Fox in Atlanta , there's not a bad seat in the house! They don't build them like anymore! Music comedy or theatre , there's no where better to catch your faves!

This is a smaller, but still good-sized theater. Beautifully detailed and such a nice change. We were there to see a concert, and my only complaint was that the ushers weren't very attentive to disruptions. The people next to us kept talking and getting up and down; it really took away from my experience, because I was there to see... More

Gorgeous venue with excellent seating and acoustics. The staff is helpful. A bit too much unnecessary security presence.

This is a beautiful, historical theater that has been nicely preserved. This venue attracts some great shows that we've recently enjoyed. There are, however, a few caveats that you should know before buying tickets. First, parking in downtown Jacksonville is challenging and can be frustrating if you're not expecting it. What is this NYC?? Secondly, getting in and out of... More

The theater is VERY old. The seats were made for people that are small. I felt like a giant in the seat. My husbands knees were indented in the seat in front of him. The theater has a musty old smell to it. I enjoyed the show but was unable to last to the end of the show related to... More

I have been to several concerts at this venue and just about every seat in the house is great! The atmosphere and old feel are amazing
