Excellent venue for "smaller shows"and performers. Comfortable and cozy....good acoustics. Especially good for comedians, because the theater is more intimate than the larger performing arts theater.

Saw Brian Regan. Nice venue. Easy access. I thought the theater itself was beautiful with good views from all seats!

Beautifully renovated old theatre in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. For those who enjoy going back in time this is a wonderful place to visit, and better yet, stay for a concert, hear a comedy act or listen to an interesting speaker. For an old structure the acoustics are quite good as they had to be in the days before... More

I enjoy coming here watching my favorite artist perform. I also get the chance to see new artist that come into town. I love the variety, and the dates and times work for me. I love it and I have also seen some of my favorite artist twice. Prices are great and its family friendly.

I happen to live her so I get a chance to go often. Beautiful old place with a charm all its own. The closer you are to the stage the louder it is of course, so if bringing young children i would suggest ear plugs .Have always had a wonderful time no matter if it was to listen to the... More

A Historic Theatre in which to go to a concert that is always a fun experience. It is not too big so you have that connection with the performers that you don't get in huge arenas. Really any seat is good because of the way the balconies are set up and the way the arch above the stage sends the... More

We had floor seats, about 15 rows from the stage. They were very good. Previously we had seen a concert here and sat in the first row of the balcony. The balcony had slightly better sight lines, but both were great for sound.

Came to see Styx. First impressed with the old decor. Reminded us of the theaters we grew up around. Main doors opened at 7pm however seating on the orchestra level couldn't get in until 7:30,pm. While we waited one of the volunteers shared on the neat history of the theater. The show itself was awesome. The band and music were... More

If you have a few days to spend in the Jacksonville area, you must attend the musical events that are held in The Florida Theatre on Forsythe Street. Friendly ushers will personally escort everyone to their seats. We attended such outstanding events as Three Dog Night, The Jersey Boys, and Celtic Thunder. I found that each performance in this theatre... More
