Inside is really beautiful, the décor is French, Spanish and Italian motifs and furnishings in a grand style, including marble and wrought iron railings, marble and decorative tile wainscoting, decorative columns and moldings, terrazzo... Great venue for experiencing a live concert or event. It feels like Old Florida, in a glorious way. Parking is a breeze and there are several places nearby to get a bite to eat. Recommended place to bring out of town visitors to share some of Jacksonville's history.

Saw Don Williams and Charlie Daniels Band at theatre. Sound is great! Staff is very helpful. Easy to get to and parking is pretty easy. Going back in February and March.

The Fkorida a Theater has a history that goes back to the 20's . Many big names have performed in the 2000 seat theater . Reading the history of the theater is most interesting . The refurbishing is superb . You can stand in the lobby and just imagine the good ole days . Parking in the area looks limited... More

We have gone to many shows at the Florida Theatre. Always a delight. Easy parking, small venue.... not a bad seat in the house! Many great restaurants within walking distance to enjoy before or after a show.

The Florida Theater, is a historic venue in Jacksonville. Because of the size, you won't see the most current, biggest acts. However, you will see a show, in a venue with a feel for the past, in a great way. From the antique tapestries on the walls, to the great sounds, you will enjoy every second.
