Memorial Park is located at 1620 Riverside Avenue, between Margaret Street and Memorial Park Drive in Riverside near the 5 Points area of Jacksonville, Florida.

It is one of Jacksonville's best loved treasures. Located along the banks of the majestic St. Johns River (incidentally, at one of its widest points, as it starts to turn east from its southern source towards its mouth at the Atlantic Ocean), this six-acre park draws visitors from across the Northeast Florida community.

On any given day, families and friends, athletes and yogis, sunbathers, fisherman, and readers enjoy a quiet respite with magnificent views from this landmark open space. The park is walking distance to local restaurants and pubs, the shops at 5 Points, and the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, and just a short drive to Downtown.

Just stepping into the park you are immediately brought back to post WW I Jacksonville. The park is dedicated to the fallen heroes of the Great War. Peace, tranquility, and a lovely commemorative bronze sculpture. The park has a feeling of a mini NYC Central park. Read up on its history and you'll understand. Definitely worth the stop.

Great park for a picnic on the river. Not much parking, though plenty of parking between the park and 5 Pts., making it easy to walk to Publix or a one of the many eateries for a drink and bite.

Memorial Park is in the heart of Riverside. Grab a coffee and bagel and head to the park for shaded peacefulness. I love the Art Deco Statue given to Jax in the 20's from France. Clean well maintained often events and meetings group here. The park is dog friendly and in a epic Jax neighborhood. I wish fountain worked but... More

My husband & I used to visit when he was in the USN in 1984. It's such a sweet little neighborhood park. Folks were doing yoga & tightrope walking which was pretty cool. Great place for a family picture, we took a few :) Just nice to find some greenery in the city!

My, husband and I always enjoy going to this park with our Dog Grizzy. I find it relaxing at times. I enjoy looking out over the St. John's River. If your lucky you might see a dolphin out there.

We've been to Memorial Park numerous time and always had a great experience. We recently brought a picnic lunch (there are numerous trash cans scattered throughout the park) and a small portable battery operated tv to sit and watch the football game. We ended up being so delightfully distracted by the playful squirrels in the park that we hardly watched... More

This is a nice little place to walk around and look out over the water. There are some pretty cool statutes and a little walking track of sorts around it. It's relaxing.

Saw some people fishing from the wall. Some were catchin croaker...really good fish :-). Its fairly peaceful for the most part. Although it was near a street it didnt seem to be a lot of noise.
