My family and I had a wonderful time visiting the museum. Ashley gave us a tour and did a great job. She gave us so much information that was really neat to learn about. The kids were given firemen's helmets, and they thought that was the coolest thing ever. We look forward to returning! Thanks Ashley!

The museum was a real find that we would have missed had we not been recommended to it by a friend. The staff was really helpful, especially Ashley who gave us a tour and really knew her stuff. Will definitely make it back next time we are in town.

I had an excellent experience at the Jacksonville Fire Museum. Once I walked in I was greeted by Ashley and she offered to give me a tour around the Museum. I'm very glad I took her up on it otherwise I would've just walked around quickly and left. She gave me so much information about the history of the Jacksonville... More

Less than an hour needed but so much packed into this place. We are from South Florida and did not know the whole town almost burned down in the 1900's. Really great photos and super nice guy working there. Not a long stop but the place is free , donations accepted and really has a lot of cool fire things... More

Resides in an old firehouse from the very early 1900's. The building needs maintenance. Good presentation of some local history including some old equipment, key events, and some presentation of how firefighting evolved. The person at the site was very pleasant and willing to answer any questions. Would have rated it a 5 but there was too much emphasis on... More

This tiny museum is close to Everbank Field and the Metro Park. Very interesting and hands on. Kids love the old fire engine, sirens, and gear. There are two floors so don't forget to go upstairs. Marina for boats is close by at Metro Park, if you want to go by boat.

Great place to visit and learn history about the fire departments in Jacksonville from the past. There is a lot of old antique fire department equipment on display there. The attendant was very nice and had a lot of knowledge of the equipment and timelines of things that happened in Jacksonville. Well worth the visit there is no charge for... More

This is worth a visit if you are in the area. It's near the Everbank Jaguar Stadium and St John's River in the downtown northside community. Give it a try if you have kids. There is a nice children's park on the same side of the street!

We stopped by while we were waiting for the rest in our group to finish lunch. It was very cool to walk around and see all the old fire stuff. There were several kids with us and they really enjoyed it as well.
