I agree with 2 recent reviews, and think that the one praising this place is a plant. Yes, it's on the river and had boat docking space. Yes, it has a few mediocre restaurants. There were a few shops, but my wife, an avid shopper, wasn't interested (amazing!) Unless you have a specific place at the Landing that you must... More

We've been to The Landing a few times, the most recent in November for the Holiday Fireworks. Unfortunately, what could be a lovely destination for the people of Jacksonville and visitors has deteriorated into second rate restaurants and drinking establishments. Here, Hooters is considered "upscale". While relatively safe, it is definitely for the young drinking crowd, except on very special... More

For everything else that Jacksonville nightlife is known for, it shouldn't be the Landing. By 8pm all of the shops are shut down except for the toy store. The bars and restaurants continue on but even they slow down at 10. And it is no different on the weekends! The mall inside the landing is mostly vacant still, and parking... More

What a great place. Its right in the heart of Jacksonville and you can drive, walk or arrive by boat as it streches along the St. Johns River and has boat docks right up front. I was told the Landing goes all year long. Great food, entertainment and a first class view on the river.

I visited Jacksonville in September to determine if I would relocate there in the spring. My gal-pal, who retired there with her hubby a few years ago, took me to the Landing. We have South Street Seaport in NYC, so I wasn't expecting haute cuisine. We strolled along the boardwalk on the river, stopped in the food court for lunch... More

We went on a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't much there. The food court was closed. Most of the shops were open but I wasn't impressed. There were some restaurants open outside, like Hooters. It was nothing special.

We were there on a weekday so I have no idea what the venue may be like when there is entertainment but my guess that any level of entertainment could not improve what is clearly a old and tired facility. We had lunch at the American Grill, I would advise anyone to bypass this place. The moment we walked in... More

I have been working a bit in Jacksonville of late with a colleague, but to date it has been all work and no play! We are staying at the Omni Hotel most times which is about a 2-3 minute walk from the Landing. This being our fourth visit and with an evening of genuine down-time we ventured to this monstrosity... In principle a good place to hang out and several offerings of good food and beverages. We went there on Jan 1st which wasn't a good idea as there was obviously an event around football that we didn't know about and didn't understand (strange people with orange tenessee shirts). It was to cold to sit outside, it's beautiful to look... More

Lots of restaurants, shops and a great view of the river front. We were there during bowl game time so it was really busy and tons of people. I suspect that's probably true of any of the many events held here. There's a nice (pay)parking area within walking distance which is convenient. Enjoyed our time here and would visit again... More
