It's a Fountain...

Large fountain that changes colors and dances to music. A great view of downtown from the Southbank side of the city. Nice for a walk.

A great location to see the skyline of Jacksonville, also to take photo's. Not sure but at one time was one of the largest fountains of its kind in the southern united states. Really beautiful, a real Jacksonville treasure.

The fountain has been improved and a beautiful, new, long, paver path along the St John's River has opened. There are several picnicking tables right near the fountain and benches with shade overhangs along the new pathway. You see lots of people jogging, walking or pushing strollers along this lit path that has lots of interesting details built in like... More

I happened upon this on my drive through the city and I'm so glad I did. After touring the downtown area of Jacksonville I made my way south across the bridge looking for a good place for photographing the city skyline and this was the perfect place. The fountain is very nice with its alternating water display and the sheer... More

This is a wonderful spot to watch fireworks. Also, a wonderful date spot since there are nearby restaurants to choose from. In February, they change the colors to pink in the fountain to support breast cancer. They change the colors (lighting) other times of the year as well to correspond with the holidays. It is also a very cool spot... More

Lovely downtown (on southside) park to spend some time watching people, boats and sunsets. The fountain is so pretty at night with the colored lights. You can take some amazing photos with the skyline and the fountain. Seems safe but would not go late at night as I would not in any city. Easy to park and very relaxing.

Not much to say about a fountain. My 7 month old was amazed at the sounds, lights, and movement. Also, it was very clean.

We first found the friendship Fountain by accident on our way to the science and history museum. It was stunning in the day and we took numerous pictures and promised to come back at night. We really were not disappointed and I can't stress enough how much I would recommend this as an attraction in Jacksonville. Stunning.

I had emailed the Parks Department to find out what time the lights came on so we could time accordingly. I was told 7:30. We arrived, walked, waited, walked across the bridge (which was a highlight), still no lights. At 8:15 we left, very disappointed.
