We spent the morning at MOSH and it was very fun. They have great exhibits on local mammals and reptiles, a fascinating exhibit on the human body, and a great shipwrecked series at the moment. The treehouse downstairs is great for little ones, but most of the rest of the museum is geared for elementary students not preschoolers - although... More

You cannot compare this with the science or natural history museums in London but it was a very interesting place to visit. Lots of interactive things and a really interesting science workshop which demonstrated experiments to the children and was interesting to adults too.

The museum was well planned, and we especially enjoyed the classroom demonstration on electricity. The young man who did this exhibition was named Josh, and he made the entire experience one that was unforgettable.

I had no clue that there was so much information on mammals here in florida as well as the rest of the world. It was really educational. When I was there they had the megaladon skeloten on display. Not what was expected but still a good display. My daughter loved the dolphin exhibit as well as seeing the turtles outside.... More

We went to the museum expecting an actual "museum of history", not a child oriented musem. This was definitely steered towards children 8 and younger. (we took our 9 YO) The only thing we really enjoyed was the young lady that worked in the live animal room - you could really tell that she loved her animals and wanted to... More

Was a bit worried at first thinking it was mostly oriented towards school children, but what a nice museum. The large section about northern Florida and Jacksonville is so detailed with pictures and displays that it takes you into other periods of time for several hours. The shipwreck displays are so interesting with information and artifacts retrieved from those ships... More

We spent several hours here as there is so much to see. While we were there we encountered several school groups and I can see why as this place is a learning experience. There was one section on shipwrecks which showed artifacts from various ships going back to the 1600s. There were gold and silver coins, dishes, pottery, and countless... More

Got in for free care of the BoA Museums on Us program. I was actually surprised how informative this place was. My favourite was the animals - I got a chance to touch an opossum, and saw some turtles during one of the talks that they did. Also got a chance to see a science talk - where my boyfriend... More

This is one shining gem in a city that doesn't offer much. It's very clean and the staff is great. The prices are very affordable and the exhibits are awesome. Must see!
