Went in on a Sunday. Not too much traffic downtown. Just make sure you get out before the ridiculously large baptist church lets out. They actually close down roads so folks can get out. It was small, and we did it fairly quickly. However, the kids did everything twice. They also loved the planetarium.

My kids love this museum. They have something new and interesting for everyone from 3 years and older.

We went while the Dino exhibit was in town. There is a body exhibit that the kids can explore the insides of the body. Tons of history about Jacksonville (great for field trips) play area for the smaller kids helped with keeping the younger ones entertained. Loved the planetarium shows!

The M.O.S.H. was an okay museum. Definitely more oriented towards children but had some very cool things to see. I enjoyed the little outdoor part where they have a little pond and a big snapping turtle. Went and saw the T-Rex fossil while it was here, it was interesting. Parking isn't terrible either like i expected it to be downtown.... More

My friends and I were in Jax for a conference. We stayed in the downtown area, and we were bored one day. It was way too cold to go to the beach so we took the ferry across the river to MOSH. It was a Friday and we got in for $5 a piece! Great deal! We arrived later in... More

We visited MOSH when our beach day was rained out, leaving us with 3 bored kids and 2 desperate adults. So we took the 1hr drive from Amelia beach and landed at MOSH on $5 Fridays - bonus!! The museum was great! They have several exhibits, raniging from nature to anaotmy. Lots of snakes, turtles and pickled human organs. They... More

This is a nice way to spend a couple of hours, but it isn't a major-league museum. There is material for all ages but it seems focus on kids, especially younger kids. Let me qualify that statement: the science exhibits were more kid-oriented; the history exhibits were more for adults. As an adult (who also loves science), the history exhibits... More

My husband and I took our 10 year old son, who loves science and he really loved it! We saw the "Prehistoric Sea Monsters" show in the Planetarium and it was awesome! We plan to go back in a few weeks to see the "Black Hole" show.

If you are from a large city, this is not for you. It cannot compare to a Field Museum or anything of that nature. If visiting Jax, please skip and enjoy many of the other fine places.

I was in town overnight for business and took my boyfriend with me. Next day we decided to explore some places. This place was pretty cool for the price. Defiantly worth the extra $5 for the planetarium. We're 25 and it took about 2 1/2 hours for everything. We love owls and they had 3 awesome types there inside, since... More
