This is a must for everyone. If you can make reservations at any of the restaurants ahead of time. The cafe had the best pastries I've ever had along with the finest coffee I've ever experienced. I would make the 3 hour drive from my house just to get another maple brioche donut!

While in Hyde Park to visit FDR's home, we stopped in at the Culinary Institute for lunch. The Apple Pie Cafe is informal and does not require reservations. The other restaurants do require reservations in advance, I did not try them. The food choices at the cafe are amazing and the cost reasonable. You can also take a tour of... More

The campus is breathtaking situated right on hudson river. We only had soup cookies and special coffee of the day in the apple cafe. Students prepare n serve. Really good quality and inexpensive. Well worth the stop. Roam the halls and see the work in progress as students prepare. Tours available too.

My husband and I have been looking forward to dining at CIA for almost 1 year. We finally had our dinner date at Bocuse. The campus is magics and beautiful . Although we did not see the kitchen labs in action - Saturday night - we were excited by the passion that was evidenced throughout the campus, Bocuse is the... More

A magnificent place to learn about chefs and cooking. Buildings are former home a Jesuit seminary. Once inside you will be amazed with the life of the students. You may wonder about watching aspiring chefs prepare foods from salads to deserts. Wine and beer tasting classes are part of the days studies. All through the visit you will be pleased... More

Only by chance did we find this gem. We had no booking but the very helpful staff directed us to the Italian resturant where we were looked after very well. The food, atmosphere, staff, location were amazing, value for money and they were happy for us to join them in our day clothes no need to dress up. The view... More

We took the 1-1/2 hour drive from NYC to Hyde Park, NY. It was a very pleasant ride and easy to get to. We first toured the place, which is absolutely gorgeous with its landscapes, fountain and views of the Hudson River. When we arrived at Ristorante Caterina de' Medici the maitre'd took us directly to our seats. The staff... More

I had a great tour. Very informative. The guide/student could answer all of my questions even the fact that the average freshman gains 50 pounds. The smells were amazing. The dinner at the French restaurant was terrific. Especially, the ice cream made at the table. Would go back for sure.
