Ok, I don't get into "food porn," but my meal was so plated so prettily that I did text pics to my friends. Plus, it was really, really good! The menu changes, though, so no point in saying what it was. Dessert was very good, too, so I recommend saving room for it. The only downside was the service. I... More

We dined at Bocuse and had a lovely meal at a great price. The campus is beautiful and unfortunately the bakery completely sold out of their amazing donuts and all the pies. It was graduation weekend!

The Culinary Institute of America is the top training facility for chefs in this country. The CIA offers several restaurants where the public can dine, but the facility also has a very fine bookstore/gift shop, classes, and displays of interest around the main building. Last month, a group of us went to dine at American Bounty and loved the experience.... More

We stopped for lunch at American Bounty (one of three restaurants on the campus) and boy are we glad we did! (Be sure to make a reservation in advance) The food is fantastic, the service was great and the ambiance is fun! The restaurant is quite large and bustling, but that adds to the fun of the experience. All of... More

Gorgeous campus overlooking the Hudson River, just North of Poughkeepsie. Came here for our 21st anniversary and went to the American Bounty restaurant. There are 3 restaurants in Roth Hall... American Bounty, The Bocuse and Apple Pie Bakery Cafe. There is also an Italian restaurant (Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici & Al Forno Trattoria) across the street from Roth Hall. We... More

Our visit was beyond expectations. We'd planned for a few hours but we ended up spending most of the day. We signed up (in advance--call first) for the Monday 10 a.m. tour. This is the only morning tour during the week. Other tours are daily at 4 p.m. Our tour guide James shared a wealth of info about the school... More

This is a must for everyone. If you can make reservations at any of the restaurants ahead of time. The cafe had the best pastries I've ever had along with the finest coffee I've ever experienced. I would make the 3 hour drive from my house just to get another maple brioche donut!

While in Hyde Park to visit FDR's home, we stopped in at the Culinary Institute for lunch. The Apple Pie Cafe is informal and does not require reservations. The other restaurants do require reservations in advance, I did not try them. The food choices at the cafe are amazing and the cost reasonable. You can also take a tour of... More

The campus is breathtaking situated right on hudson river. We only had soup cookies and special coffee of the day in the apple cafe. Students prepare n serve. Really good quality and inexpensive. Well worth the stop. Roam the halls and see the work in progress as students prepare. Tours available too.

My husband and I have been looking forward to dining at CIA for almost 1 year. We finally had our dinner date at Bocuse. The campus is magics and beautiful . Although we did not see the kitchen labs in action - Saturday night - we were excited by the passion that was evidenced throughout the campus, Bocuse is the... More
