I am not commenting on the CIA in general, but the Caterina de Medici restaurant in particular. I live in the area and have been to the various CIA restaurants for lunch and dinner many, many times over the years. And it is just now, after my experience at their Italian restaurant, that I feel compelled to write a review.... More

Wonderful lunch at Boscue! The meals we had were beautifully prepared and served. Some favs- pate, scallops, monkfish stew and goat cheese cheesecake! Our waiter was helpful and attentive. The grounds were beautiful, despite the snow! Will definitely return.

Just completed 4-day Bistro Boot Camp that was offered as a continuing education program. A great experience for the food enthusiast. They offer 1-5 day courses and I will definitely be back for more. The instructor, a master chef, and the opportunity to learn in a professional kitchen were fantastic!

This is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy the art of food presentation and taste. Every dish is served by students-in-training (SIT), prepared by other SITs as supervised by the trained and experienced faculty. All dishes are presented nicely as plated and very tasty. I have eaten at two of these restaurants, the latest being the Bocuse, named after... More

During a visit to the Hudson Valley, we decided to celebrate my recent retirement with dinner at The Culinary Institute of America's Bocuse Restaurant. It was great! Due to their high level of professionalism, you have no sense at all that the staff are students. The food and service were top rate, as was the extensive wine list. We enjoyed... More

This beautiful college on a bluff overlooking the Hudson River was breathtaking! The grounds were planted with fruit trees, and vegetables. The building was a huge stone structure with had many of the original features from its former life as a Jesuit Seminary. There was a gift store that included many cookbooks as well as kitchen items, several restaurants, and... More

We went on a 10am Monday tour. It was such a great experience. I highly recommend this tour. They broke us out into 4 smaller tours with each smaller group being led by a current student. We went down hallways and peered into windows into many different working kitchens. Note that you cannot take pictures inside during the tour. Each... More

We came with a friend who is a former food editor. She is very familiar with the CIA. We walked all around behind the scenes. Classes were in session. It was wonderful to peak in the doors and windows and watch the action. We also visited the cafe and had a lovely treat. The views of the Hudson River from... More
