Our "Grand Tour" guided bike tour of the historic Gettysburg battle site was more than a scenic bike ride. Guide Bruce entertained us the way I would have liked to have learned history. While not the same as reading Killer Angles, learning about the three day battle and it's cast while seeing the setting made history a vivid learning experience.... More

Even if you're not a die hard cyclist you will enjoy this ride! Take a Gatorade & a protein/energy bar and you'll do fine. The pace is fairly slow. At home, we normally ride 10 miles within an hour. Here you will take 3-4 hours. Lots of stops and lots of interesting facts from the guide. This was our 2nd... More

We booked this tour based on recommendations from Trip Advisor, and because I had just bought a bike to ride with my husband. You can use one of their bikes which looked excellent and were the same brand as mine. Kelly who booked our tour was there to greet us, and because we were there after Labour Day we were... More

This review is for Bruce--thanks for an amazing bike tour of Gettysburg this past weekend! We went on the "Grand Tour" and couldn't have been more pleased. Bruce was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable; he answered all the questions we asked him throughout the tour, no matter what the topic. I was so impressed that not only does he have an... More

My family of four did the Yanks tour this past Saturday. Bruce was our guide, and he did a masterful job. He knew the history backwards and forwards, including obscure details, and he fielded every single question. Moreover, the battlefield should be seen on a bike if at all possible. The history comes to life as you pedal through the... More

This is my second review of Gettysbike. I attended a tour last year and when I told my son about it he asked me to take the tour again with him. Our host for the tour was Bruce and there were five of us on the tour. This is the third organized bike tour I have taken – previous ones... More

I wanted to get some exercise on this trip, and also let my girls hear some history without being crammed on a bus or car. Gettysbike fit the bill completely! We did the Yanks Tour, which was the one recommended for kids, as some of the other ones are closer to traffic. The route was perfect, a few big hills... More

My family visited Gettysburg this Saturday. On a whim, the five of us decided to rent bikes, which seemed like an efficient and healthy way to take in the battlefield. We explored on our own, but not before we got some great advice from the guy running the bike rental place. He gave us a map, suggested several points of... More

We had a wonderful tour with Bruce @ GettysBike. The bikes were nice and we did the four hour tour (Grand Tour). Our guide was very knowledgeable and we got a good feel for the whole battlefield. It was a really fun way to see the battlefield and learn more about the town. Highly recommended.

We decided on a whim to do a bike tour rather than the bus tour of the battlefields. Best decision ever! The bikes were comfortable, and the guide, Bob and his daughter, Kelly, were very friendly and organized. They provide you with helmets as well. I highly recommend a grand tour ($76-bike, helmet, tour) which is roughly 4 hours-a tour... More
