I wanted to get some exercise on this trip, and also let my girls hear some history without being crammed on a bus or car. Gettysbike fit the bill completely! We did the Yanks Tour, which was the one recommended for kids, as some of the other ones are closer to traffic. The route was perfect, a few big hills... More

My family visited Gettysburg this Saturday. On a whim, the five of us decided to rent bikes, which seemed like an efficient and healthy way to take in the battlefield. We explored on our own, but not before we got some great advice from the guy running the bike rental place. He gave us a map, suggested several points of... More

We had a wonderful tour with Bruce @ GettysBike. The bikes were nice and we did the four hour tour (Grand Tour). Our guide was very knowledgeable and we got a good feel for the whole battlefield. It was a really fun way to see the battlefield and learn more about the town. Highly recommended.

We decided on a whim to do a bike tour rather than the bus tour of the battlefields. Best decision ever! The bikes were comfortable, and the guide, Bob and his daughter, Kelly, were very friendly and organized. They provide you with helmets as well. I highly recommend a grand tour ($76-bike, helmet, tour) which is roughly 4 hours-a tour... More

My wife and I wanted to learn about Gettysburg without dealing with the crowds and crazy tour groups. This was the answer. The customer service was amazing and the guides were truly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this as the best tour in Gettysburg.

My husband and I had the greatest time on our bike tour! Kelly was so accommodating and let us join a tour at the last minute. Bruce was a great guide who answered all questions with no problems. He is a Civil War pro and we really enjoyed his guidance. I would recommend anyone and everyone to do the tour--irregardless... More

This tour gives you a very informative and detailed tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield and Town. A Pre-Ride narration of the 3 day battle was given before the bike tour. This was extremely helpful when riding and visiting each section of the battlefield and town. The guide was very courteous, informative, helpful, and friendly. All our questions were answered. I... Of the many ways to tour Gettysburg battlefields, this is surely the best. Owner/guide Bob was a fountain of information, not only about the history and tactics of the battle, but about many human interest stories related to the Civil War. He took extra time to show each participant the relevant monuments related to one's home state, as well as... More

My wife, 15 year old son and I took the 3 hour afternoon battlefields tour with our guide Bruce. It was a great experience. It was my first visit to Gettysburg and Bruce made it come alive with clear explanations on the strategy and movements of both the Union and Confederate generals and armies on those three fateful days in... I booked this trip as a Father's Day gift for my Dad who is a huge history buff. By the end of the tour, the three of us who attended learned more than going to the museum's and visitor center in town. Bruce, our guide, created a great visual for everyone, always going back to the "fishhook" to see where... More
