the theatre was beautiful and the staff very accommodating. We sat in the balcony, front row, and really enjoyed the show. Tickets were not overpriced.

On one of the last afternoons we were there we decided to go to this historic movie theater to see Railway man----what a beautiful old movie theater--very quaint and seats maybe 80 but two theaters and they are doing a series on Wednesdays that looked really interesting.

The old theater, beautifully restored has become part of the hub of the arts scene in Gettysburg, Pa. You will find plays, musicals, movies, dance and a gallery of visual arts.

We were driving by and wanted to watch the live broadcast of the Met Opera. This theatre was showing it, so we stopped into town. They went all out for this instead of just making like it was a normal movie. I really like doing it this way.

The Majestic has pretty good seating and there is adequate knee room in all the seats....not like some of the other older theaters. While they show older movies on a regular basis, they also have some great live performances. There is pay parking within walking distance and also free parking with a free shuttle offered to patrons. You can also... More

This a restored 1925 theater they show independent movies. Most of these movies don't get shown in the multi plexes. They also have live shows and show the Met opera on the big screen on the main auditorium.

Gorgeous old restored theater in the heart of Gettysburg. I come here with my husband to catch the latest showings of the Met Live in HD performances in their main theater area. So wonderful, its almost like I'm actually AT the opera! There is a small cafe in the theater that is not bad either, if you want a small... More

I happened to be visiting Gettysburg on opening night of Gettysburg College's production of "A Chorus Line" a show that I've seen in professional productions at least five times over the years. I was hesitant to attend an amateur production. I'm one who will walk out of a show if it has a weak cast. Wanting something to do that... More

Gettysburg College bought the place and did a fantastic job renovating the place. If you are town when the theatre is hosting a speaker, etc then definitely add a visit to your list of activities.

We saw a smaller film in the small #2 cinema. The ticket sales people were very nice, and the room was adequate, if not large. Entire audience stayed to watch all the credits roll, a surprise. Must have been show people.
