Great Place for Young Children

Lots of hands on things for kids to keep busy and have fun. Painting, crafts, exploring and scientific discoveries. Have taken kids here for years.

My wife and I were looking for something that our 3 year old daughter would enjoy after all the history we've put her through the last couple of days. They had everything a kid could want! She loved the painting/craft room! It was just what she needed for a little break.

This is definitely a great experience for young children. My daughter has had birthday parties for her children several years in a row.

I spent 3 hours here with my 3 1/2 yr old grandson; he wasn't ready to leave. The variety of activities in such a small space is impressive. There are items for toddlers to tween ages. The paint is NOT finger paint and does stain if it gets on clothing or skin; smocks are available for the kids to use.... More

I took my kids to this museum and was a little worried it wouldn't please both of them. Boy was I wrong!! They both loved it and we spent a fun afternoon there. My 9 year old loved the craft room - painting, drawing, glitter, you name it they had it! My 4 year old loved the giant bubble, the... More

I live just a few miles outside of Gettysburg. I have driven past the place numerous times. We had a rainy day, and I decided to take my 3 and 5 year old children for something different to do. I wish I would have taken them sooner. They had so much fun with the different activities available. They keep asking... More

and yes when I say you could spend 3 plus hours it is to true ... You may regress a few decades but playing in the 19th century kitchen & country store with your kids is a memory you will cherish forever

My kids loved it, especially the bubbles and the art room! Neither one of them wanted to leave (ages 4 and 9). The owner was very friendly. This was a great place to spend the afternoon!

We took my two year old grandson here on a rainy Saturday. The museum is small and yes it could use some updating but my grandson couldn't have cared less. He went from room to room, activity to activity and was entertained for an hour, ( his attention span, not the lack of things to do). Remember, this place is... More

We've been here three times over a two year period and every time my kids drag their heels and do not want to leave. With 3 kids, 1, 3, and 6 years old it is very helpful to have an extra adult with me... Which usually means extra fun for grandma! We go during the week when it is less... More
