This was a very worthwhile experience. We had two young boys and the guide engaged them to make this a fun learning trip for them. He answered our questions and took time to show us places we asked about. Very worthwhile.

The Licensed Battlefield Guides make the trip worthwhile. They answer questions and know so much about the battle it is unbelievable. Our guide was very informative and she threw in some humor to make it fun. The next time we will skip the bus tour and book our own private guide, which would be well worth the cost. We didn't... Our family of five had the pleasure of hiring Jeff Wolf as our guide for 2 hours on a rainy Saturday morning in August. I called the office a few weeks prior to our arrival to arrange our tour. Jeff and I spoke briefly about who was going to be on the tour and what our interests would be. After... More

We were in Gettysburg last week and hired Battlefield guide Howie Frankenfield. He did an excellent job, was very knowledgeable, answered questions throroughly, and had a great demeanor. I cannot imagine trying to muddle my way through the 6,000 acres of battlegrounds without Howie laying the groundwork for us. I only wish we had booked more than two hours! Well... More

This was the 3rd time we rented a Battlefield Guide. Rich Kohr was our guide. We had a 3 hour tour. Rich was engaging and interesting. He imparted facst to us that we did not know. We asked for the Day 1 tour and it was all we wanted and more. Rich showed us areas we only read about in... More

We did a tour with a licensed guide named Mike. We were so pleased with the whole two hour tour. The cost was $55 plus tip and when you divide that by two its such a bargain compared to the bus tour. He drove our car ( you can drive if you insist, but he knows where he's going) Mike... More

Booked a 3 hour Battlefield Tour on the morning of August 2nd. My tour guide was Gary Roche. First things first - Mr. Roche was an amazing tour guide - a great personality, and quite a character!! He drove my rental car throughout the town of Gettysburg, and we hit all the hot spots of the 3 day battle. The... More

My husband and I enjoyed an in-depth historical tour led by Mr. John Winkelman. We cannot stress enough that he made our trip to Gettysburg. He was insightful, witty, and professional. We learned more in 2 1/2 hours than we could have on our own or in a large tour group. Kudos to the Licenses Battlefield Guides for the caliber... More
