An absolutely amazing experience, riding on horseback the historic trail that winds through the solemn battlegrounds. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and the packages offered seemed tailor-made to most any group. The narrator was accurate and struck a good balance between explaining key events while giving everyone time to just enjoy the sights and sounds. The horse handlers and guides... More

My wife and I took a two hour tour with Confederate Trails of Gettysburg, Oct. 24, 2014. The entire event could not have been more perfect. Dale was our licensed guide. He is a riding history book with a great voice, and did a superb job of detailing the history. Rachel and Ken were our hosts and rode with us.... More

I took the horseback ride with some friends and we all agreed that the narration by the licensed tour guide was a wonderful surprise. The guide made the trip really interesting as he explained the battle, the personalities involved, the devastation and all while you rode through part of the battlefield. From start to finish I thought that Confederate Trails... More

My husband and I went on the 2 hr carriage ride through the Battlefield. Loved the experience. Getting a Licensed Battlefield Historian (guide) is a must! He made the ride so interesting. The people at the farn were very friendly. After a mix-up with the scheduling, we were on our way and they were very apologetic. However, I really enjoyed... More

Our family took the 2 hour horseback ride. What a great experience! Lots of history and really great landscape views. The guides were able to answer questions and offer a few funny antecdotes. Would recommend this ride for history buffs.

This was the best view of the battlefield, never expected such a great ride with two fantastic wranglers, Tiff and Rachel. Wonderful time, best $70 I spent during my stay in Gettysburg. Thanks. Highly recommended this.

We took our children, 10 and 7, on the tour and all four of us had a fantastic time. The horses are gentle so as beginners we appreciated that. Our guide, Joe, was outstanding and our wranglers super helpful. We all came away with a good understanding of the battle - and learned it all in a fun and engaging... More
