On 8-29-15 we took the 2 hour horse tour. Booking was easy, he guide was extremely knowledgeable, the staff was fantastic and the horses were great. I've never ridden a horse before. The horse i rode was named "Big Moe" and was a monster draft horse but behaved beautifully. It was a pleasure to spend a few hours with him.... More

Awesome experience. We would recommend anyone visiting Gettysburg take this tour. A special thanks to Sarah for making me feel comfortable riding Trigger. Great horses and great people.

My husband and I have visited the battlefield for 3 consecutive years, and typically go on bicycles. We chose to include the perspective of those that experienced it. When you are on horseback, you see everything from a different point of view and better understand the challenges and obstacles they faced. The entire team of wranglers were awesome and our... More

Good trail ride. Very mild walking. When trail riding on vacationing, it can be discouraging to see overworked dispirited horses. The horses seemed well cared for and liked doing their job.

I found out about this tour on Tripadvisor. I love horses and contacted them right away to find out if I would be able to ride as I am slightly over their weight restriction. I was given the green light to ride and boy did we have a great time! This is the ONLY way (in my opinion) to see... More

When my husband and I decided on a summer weekend getaway in Gettysburg, we knew touring the battlefield by horseback was a definite. After reading the Tripadvisor reviews on all of the stables operating in the area, we settled on a two hour ride with Hickory Hollow Farm. I emailed Pam about a month before and arrangements were done via... More

We took the 2 hour battlefield tour with a licensed guide and it exceeded our expectations. We are not experienced riders but could not have been made to feel more comfortable. Our first interaction was with Pam, the owner, who took our reservation. She couldn't be more warm and gracious. When we arrived for the ride she introduced us to... More

I object to Pam calling us "argumentative" on the ride. We were 2 private riders invited to join their group. My girth strap became loose and we stopped, moved off the trail and proceeded to tighten it. The guides asked if we needed help and we said we were fine, don't wait, we will catch up. Our horses were facing... More

I had done a bit of research on tripadvisor to choose a horse tour of Gettysburg. My 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son had never ridden before - I wanted them to have the experience and thought the setting of Gettysburg would be perfect. There are a number of tours to choose from, but we decided to... More

We really enjoyed this tour this morning. Tour guide gave a full account of the battles and was very knowledgeable.
