Excellent day for a ride on the battlefield. Pam returned phone calls promptly and went above and beyond to get a ride scheduled for our trip to Gettysburg since our time here was limited. Staff was pleasant and helpful to make the tour a wonderful experienced. Horses were well groomed and well cared for. Our Narrator was Terri and she... More

This was our second time back. Knowledgable and extremely nice folks. I'd highly recommend this ride. Our battlefield guide, Les, gave a great talk. Don't miss this!

My youngest niece wanted to go horseback riding somewhere. Found Hickory Hollow Farm and booked our reservations. We had varying levels of experience. No problem. They have a horse for anyone. We took the hour ride and it was over before we knew it. They did stop half way and took pictures with my camera. Nice touch! Thanks for a... More

First the staff of Hickory Hollows are just wonderful people...kind, take their time with you (and the kids) and did a good job of matching people to horses. We were going kinda loosely around the Northeast with iur three kids so didn't call until the day before to see if we could get a ride in...Pam called me back and... More

The staff at Hickory Hollow were so great! My daughter was so nervous to ride and they took the time to have her ride the best horse suited for her. You could tell the horses were well taken care of! The licensed battlefield guide was awesome we all learned so much! A great way to learn about Gettysburg!

First off I am an old time rider of 45 yrs.... Made no difference.... There's a horse for every level! I was most impressed with the quality of the care that was evident in these horses... Well fed... Watered.... And glossy coats and shod hooves... The wranglers who help on the trail are lovely young locals and our guide was... More

We are life long professional horse people so when we do one of these "trail rides" we approach with a very critical eye. Basically no one can pass the test. We took a two plus hour tour of the Gettysburg Battle Field with Hickory Hollow. I will tell you we give them very high marks. First the horses were very... More

After researching other farms in the area with similar services, I am so glad we chose Hickory Hollow. Pam was extremely accommodating, as we wanted to schedule a ride on a certain day, for seven adults on relatively short notice. Also, some of us are serious riders and we can be...particular! Pam and her horses exceeded all expectations. Our beginner... More

Pam loves her four legged babies, and her care of them is evident. The horses were all so very well trained and paired with each rider based on the rider's needs. My mother had recently a had a pratial knee replacement surgery, so Sunny was her match. My father got to ride on James (a huge beautiful boy). My sister... More

We booked our battlefield trail ride very last-minute as a bit of a whim, but it ended up being a highlight of our Gettysburg trip. Pam and her family were very friendly and relaxed and didn't treat riding as if it were a big deal. They clearly trust their horses to behave. We were given very minimal instruction on riding...
