Pam and her staff were very professional. Our historian, Joe, kept all ages engaged with his songs, jokes and knowledge of the battlefield. Sara, our other trail guide, was even kind enough to take our pictures with her own phone's camera., as we had forgotten ours. She then went out of her way to forward them to us. We ranged... More

Found this tour while searching for battleground tours for a long weekend get away trip with my boyfriend. He had specific grounds he wanted to visit so I emailed Pam to ask if the tour covered all or any. She replied quickly that they definitely hit 3 of his 4 requests! Yay! And she had openings at my specific time... More

We were a group of five novice riders, including a 7 year old child. The two guides were so very kind and great helping us ride on a short 1 hour trip, not the full battlefield tour. We enjoyed riding along parts of the battlefield on the Confederate side and visiting an old farmhouse. The two women from Hickory Hollow... More

What an amazing experience! From my first phone contact to make the reservation, to the FABULOUS directions to find the horses on the day of the ride to the ride itself, this is one of the best day excursions EVER. The wonderful staff of Hickory Hollow (Elizabeth and Cody) made sure the riders had horses suited to their abilities and... More

We were in Gettysburg mid-March when most of the horse tours are not open, but luckily for us Hickory Hollow was! The horses were great! Very calm and clearly experienced on the battlefield trails. We were accompanied by an incredibly knowledgeable Civil War guide as well as Pam and a few of her staff members. This was an awesome way... More

The 2 hr tour was guided by an excellent licensed tour guide, and gave the riders a very interesting perspective of the field of battle from horseback. The importance of this battle to the entire history of our nation became obvious. The horses were great, and the experience should not be missed. It may be a little expensive for some,... More

We wanted to take our teenage daughter out to see the battlefield by horseback. After searching through the listings we found only one service still running in November. Because my daughter had just been studying the Civil war at school, having a licensed guide along was not important to us, so we booked the two hour tour without a guide.... More

The horses were immaculately groomed, young, calm, and eagerly responsive. John was a sure ride leader, and our guide, Teri, had an enormous wealth of knowledge. And what a story teller! This was a three-hour experience we want to do again.
