We recently did a wet plate tin type family portrait. This was a great experience from start to finish. The whole process is vintage 1860's, from the clothing to the camera equipment, it was truly like stepping back in time. My family loves our photo, it is my favorite souvenir of our trip to Gettysburg. Highly recommended to all!

I read the reviews prior to visiting so my expectations were high, but somehow Tish managed to exceed them! I was visiting with a reluctant husband and he was made to feel happy and at ease. I couldn't believe how quickly we were dressed and ready and how thoroughly the process was explained to us. My inner history teacher was... More

Thought the teenagers were going to revolt, but turned out they loved it, as we all did! Staff was great, photo was perfect. Worth every dollar.

My wife and I came across this place while walking around Gettysburg and we were very happy we did. This place is the best place to get authentic looking civil war era photos. Loved how our photographer even came up with a short story to reflect our photo (a story of union general falling in love with a Confederate Southern... More

The Victorian photography studio was a must for my family's vacation in Gettysburg. After all the great reviews on Tripadvisor, I was sure we wouldn't be disappointed. The owner was so nice and friendly, we were so comfortable. The selection of period clothes allowed us to create the vintage look we were hoping for. Our wet plate photograph will be... More

I had found this studio upon searching things to do for our trip to Gettysburg. While many of these types of photographers popped up in the area, Victorian Photography Studio immediately stood out to me - upon reading further I realized why. This wasn't just edited digital photos, they looked like the real deal because they ARE the real deal.... More

We came here as a birthday present for a friend. No one would ever guess this as a surprise! It was simple to get dressed and what fun to have a photograph taken. Recommend for any occasion! Families of all kinds, friends... The owners are very friendly and make this easy! (Women: wear a halter/sportsbra! But don't worry, you keep... More

My fiance is really into antique photography and has been collecting all sorts of Ambrotypes and Daguerreotypes over the past few years. He had been talking about getting and ambrotype (glass plate) done for quite sometime and we finally decided to do it this past weekend and let me say I'm SO GLAD we chose Del and Tish. We were... It was as much fun preparing for the photograph as it was seeing the finished product. Tish is absolutely delightful and a nineteenth-century stylist extraordinaire! She gives you a choice of dresses, and pins and accessorizes your outfit in seconds, right down to the clip-on earrings. We opted for the wet plate photography session. It costs a little more, but...
