This tour gets you out on the battlefield. You can also arrange for a private tour, in your own vehicle, with a guide who can tell you all the details of the battle. Such an interesting event in our history. If you are in the area -- you must go to Gettysburg. The bus tour puts it all in context.

We took the guided, enclosed bus tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and the bus was very comfortable. You do not just sit on the bus. There are several opportunities to get out and explore. Overall, it was a good experience and full of great information.

We took the double decker Battlefield tour on July 4. My husband and I had done the same tour 2 yrs ago on a trip with a friend. This time we were traveling with our daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren. It was just as moving and educational the second time around for us. Our guide was very energetic and informative.... We were limited for time and didn't want to miss anything so we bought the package deal that included the museum, bus tour and movie. Our tour guide was so well informed and showed us so much. We enjoyed the whole day immensely! If we go again we might do the self guided tour if we can take more time... More

We were traveling with 2 other families and had 15 kids/ 7 adults. It was expensive to take the kids (ages 1-15), and I didn't feel like it was the best use of money. Looking back I would have done the CD audio tour in the car. The older kids (ages 10-15) and my husband enjoyed it, but for me... More

I came to Gettysburg with my handicapped grandmother and neither of us had much knowledge of where to go or what to see. We decides to go on this tour and we were so glad! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and we were able to see everything in just a few hours!

Went on the bus tour and paid for a double-decker bus, well it broke down and we had to wait for another bus. They sent a regular bus to finish the tour and they didn't even refund the difference , it wasn't a whole lot of money but it is the point. Not getting what we paid for kind of... More

My husband and I have taken several battlefield tours in Gettysburg, PA but, by far, Gettysburg Battlefield Bus tours out of the Gettysburg Tour Center on Baltimore St is the absolute best, They have several tours but we always take the double decker bus. (We try to get the top deck to get the best pictures.) Each passenger gets earphones... More

We came to Gettysburg not knowing much about the area. This bus tour really helped put into perspective what happened back then. If we didn't take this tour, we'd be aimlessly driving around without a clue. Our tour guide (Jack) was great...really kept our attention and added some humor. There was a quick bathroom break along with at least 3... More
