Description: The “Ghosts of Gettysburg Tours” are best described as a combination of...
The “Ghosts of Gettysburg Tours” are best described as a combination of history and mystery. The battle that took place in Gettysburg was horrific. We do our best to treat the men who gave their lives with the respect they deserve. We use ghost stories, as relayed to Mr. Nesbitt by those who have experienced them, to explore what happened here. Anyone can make up a scary ghost story, but somehow, knowing that people experienced the ghostly happenings that our guides describe, has to make one wonder if an encounter is in your own future! Our tours include as much of the town as can be walked comfortably. The buildings in Gettysburg are all privately owned, but from what we've been told, just as many ghosts are wandering the streets as are hanging out within four walls! If you're looking for a "halloween haunted house" kind of experience, this is not the tour for you!

Truly enjoyed our tour. And plan to go again on our next visit to Gettysburg. Our tour guide was great.

A great way to see a side of Gettyburg that you may not see, Our guide was great. He had a wide knowledge of the history of the area and was very entertaining. He painted a picture through story telling that gave you not only facts but a feeling for the history of the place. He shared some great ghostly... More

We heard more on historical happenings and our guide's role in various TV shows than we did ghost stories. The ones we did hear were ended with some logical explanation, like "or maybe the college kids were just drunk." sigh. He also spent too much time saying, "I'm not going to say that I believe in ghosts. Let's just say... More

This was our 1st ghost tour we took( spring of 2014) , and we have been on several since in other states....this has been the best by far. I wish I could remember our guides name! He really knew his stuff & was capable of telling the stories to hold our interest....we have found that this is rare. Our 10... More

We enjoyed this tour of Gettysburg and found it very informative and interesting. Definitely one of the highlights of our weekend. The only drawback, as others have mentioned, was a difficulty in hearing our tour guide over traffic-- they probably can't stop talking every time a motorcycle or truck roars past because they have a schedule to stick to, but... We were worried about going on a tour with our kids but the REALLY wanted to. They are 10,8,7 years old. The day before we took the tour we stopped in hearing that this was the best place to take a tour. The lady that was working was friendly and told us that the tour would be good for the... More

We booked the Gettysburg College Campus Walk through “The Ghosts of Gettysburg” on a Friday evening. There was a fairly large group with us that night. The tour guide was an older woman, who I am sure has a lot of knowledge about Gettysburg, but her voice was weak and was hard to hear most of the time. This has... More

So sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your tour. We have 15-20 guides and each has their own storytelling style, but we expect all to deliver the stories with enthusiasm and intrigue. Our goal is to entertain the visitor by conveying the history of Gettysburg through the ghost stories collected by Mr. Nesbitt. This is where we differ from some... More

Based on the books by Mark Nesbitt, the Ghosts of Gettysburg are a mixture of history and ghost stories from the battle of Gettysburg. Definitely the classiest of the ghost walks. I have been on several and they are always interesting. Annie is a particularly gifted ghost guide. Try to get on one of her tours if at all possible!

Our grandson wants to go on ghost walks in every city we take him to. This was the best we have ever done because it didn't rely on fake ghosts and all that hyped up junk we've experienced on other tours in other cities. Our guide told us real stories about the terrible things that happened in Gettysburg and brought... More
