We do our best to treat the men who gave their lives with the respect they deserve. We use ghost stories, as relayed to Mr. Nesbitt by those who have experienced them, to explore what happened here. Anyone can make up a scary ghost story, but somehow, knowing that people experienced the ghostly happenings that our guides describe, has to make one wonder if an encounter is in your own future! Our tours include as much of the town as can be walked comfortably. The buildings in Gettysburg are all privately owned, but from what we've been told, just as many ghosts are wandering the streets as are hanging out within four walls! If you're looking for a "halloween haunted house" kind of experience, this is not the tour for you! « less

I've been on many ghost tours over the years, and this is one of the best I've been on. Their tours cover three different areas of the town, so you can take three different tours. Their guides are dress in period attire, and lead the tours through the street by candle lanterns. Along the way they'll stop and tell about... More

We spent the day in Gettysburg and were really looking forward to our ghost tour. We were disappointed! The experience relys on the guide...ours was not convincing. She seemed to be doing the minimum of her job. There was alot of walking and cars were whizzing by making the guide hard to hear. Now, if you've never been on a... More

When we booked this tour, we were not looking for a paranormal experience or a ghost hunting adventure. We simply wanted some creepy stories about the sites and people of Gettysburg. From the reviews and advertisements, this tour seemed that it would fit the bill. While our tour guide was friendly and had a few stories to tell, we were... More

Rich was our guide and he was great! He spoke loud enough for us all to hear (probably 20 of us) and seemed to know his history. We stopped at 3 different locations and Rich gave us information about that location and some of the spooky things that have happened there. He even stuck around at the end to answer... More

I know there is a lot of history in Gettysburg and many reasons to assume, if you believe, that there are ghosts. But the tour you take can make a difference. We had Annie and she made us feel comfortable and added the desire to check out some other spots. Great job, I would do it again!! Thank you.

While on a different (disappointing) tour, we saw the Ghosts of Gettysburg tour. They looked like they were having fun and the guide's costume was fabulous. We joined the tour at 9:45 with Sandy. She was fantastic! Her storytelling style was so convincing, she had us checking over our shoulders for ghosts the whole way home. Way to go, Sandy!

Candlelight tour was suppose to start at 9:45 pm. Never started until after 10pm. Tour guide went off track so many times that by 11pm we had only had 4 stops and most of the information had nothing to do with the history of the buildings. We knew lots about the guides family life but not much more. Was a... More

we recently took the "Ghosts of Gettysburg" candelight walking tour. The stories told by our guide were somewhat interesting, but nothing new. I was hoping for something different, something that this particular tour group provided which no one else did. If you're looking for a ghost "experience", try elsewhere. If you want to walk around the block and hear a collection... More

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your tour. Our tours are based on the "Ghosts of Gettysburg" book series, so the tour format is a combination of history and ghost stories for family entertainment and educational purposes. The "scare factor" is in the hands of the storyteller and will vary based on the audience. Over the years... More

Our Ghost tour guide was Sally and she did a great job. Her stories were interesting, informative, and spooky. The tour last about 1 hour and I was entertained the entire time.

I have had the opportunity to take all of the walking ghost tours that the Ghosts of Gettysburg have offered over the years and must say, it is by far the very best tours my family and I have experienced. The guides are professional, experienced and very knowledgeable. Mark and Carol Nesbitt are fantastic and it was a sincere pleasure... More
