Turtle Back is a great little zoo. Although small there is a nice variety of animals. Lots of exhibits for children. Easy to park and walk around. A nice day trip for families. Plenty of free parking.

Lovely zoo. Perfect for a day trip, not too big or small. We took my son and he thoroughly enjoyed it.Recommended.

Massive facility improvement. Great family destination. Very relaxing. Food choices could be better but there are picnic facilities.

Along with the Cape May Zoo, Turtle Back Zoo shows the best the state has to offer. The newer Wolf and Sea Lion exhibits are fantastic, and the zoo just keeps expanding. Definitely worth spending a few hours, and there's miniature golf and good food right in the same area also. A great idea for a day trip :)

We went with extended family Saturday night and it was beautiful. Saw farm animals, llamas, sting rays, and sea lions. The light figures were beautiful.

We live close the zoo and have been visiting since my nieces were little( now they are 20!!) We have seen the transformation of the zoo from a small place to a well known /loved zoo in NJ. It does have many animals from all continents, the zoo personnel is very knowledgable and helpful. My kids love the red panda,... More

Turtle Back Zoo is a wonderful and fun zoo! We went a couple of days ago, to see the Holiday Lights Spectacular. This event opens the zoo up to people for free, starting at 5 pm. The zoo is decorated with lights and other Christmas decorations, making it beautiful, especially when the sky is dark. Some animals were sleeping in... More

This is a wonderful, quaint zoo which is a must - go-to if you're in the area. The array of animals is great for a small zoo: lizards, prairie dogs, buffalo, horses, monkeys and more! The train is TINY and not worth the long lines while the outdoor play area gets wild and is not supervised. Docents seem to (strangely)... More
