The seats in this beautiful theatre are the worst! Absolute "sardine city." I frankly don't understand why the seating was designed this way. Even small people have difficulty with where to position their knees. Extremely uncomfortable throughout the play. The discomfort limits one's ability to appreciate the performance. Its a shame.

This was fairly typical for a theater. The traditional decor was very nice. We saw Kinky Boots. Two hours before the performance, the Rush seating opened up, with half price tickets. 2 Mezzanine tickets totaled $54.00. However, the Mezzanine seats were fairly small. If there had been someone in front of me, my knees would have been in the back... More

We attended the Saturday night performance of Kinky Boots at this theatre. It is an older place but the sound was excellent. Our seats were off to the side and if the play moved to the far right we had a limited view, but the accoustics were great and we could hear the wonderful music of the play.

Ten minutes before the show there was hundreds of people outside. They had three slow ticket takers. Than they had the nerve to start the show with people still waiting. Tight seats made it a bad experience

I work nearby, so it's easy for me to take advantage of last minute deals. For Book of Mormon, we did the "lottery" at last minute, and for Kinky Boots last night, we did "rush" tickets. You show up 2 hrs before showtime on Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs and all rear mezzanine tickets are $27, including the $2 fee. The tix we got... More

Look, The seats are small, closely spaced together with almost NO leg room, prepare yourself for this. My Wife has been wanting to see Book of Mormon, so this was my only choice, I struggled through the whole performance with my small seat, one of the ushers noticed my pain, and allowed me to move down one row to the... This from a petite 5-footer: be prepared to be totally smushed as you watch your next performance at the Forrest. It had better be a good show (and Book of Mormon was just that) to get me back into those seats!

I bought a ticket to see Book of Mormon and know that I will never return to the Forrest again. The ticket, which cost in excess of $100. had me sitting in an upper row that had no room for my legs. I had to sit with them to the side, switching back and forth so as not to disturb... More

From the outside the theatre looks very nice, but not too fancy. Once inside, given its age, it is much more classically plush than the outside might lead you to believe. Seats are comfortable, but not overly so. As is typical in most theatres, tall or large people will be a little tight on space. Not uncomfortably so, but enough... More

My boyfriend and I went to see The Book of Mormon at the Forrest Theatre. My mother and I enjoy going to plays and musicals so I have been to several theaters. I found the Forrest Theatre to be a nice experience. The seats were comfortable and the building is beautiful! We had seats in the front row of the... More
