My husband and I were in Philadelphia for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed all the museums and historical sights. The Ride the Ducks was a great change of pace. It was a lighthearted, silly, and somewhat informative tour of Philadelphia. The entire tour was more geared to "having a good laugh" than it was to "education" and that was just... More

The 4 of us really enjoyed our 80 minute tour of Philadelphia on land and the Delaware River. And if you are lucky enough to have "Nana Duck" as your tour guide you may want to stay on and go again. It was so much better than tour buses we've ridden in other cities.

The positive reviews are correct. Fun, corny humor. Engaging driver - Captain Norm. All the main Philadelphia attractions are discussed and you learn a bit of history about Duck Boats. The cost is appropriate and tips are accepted. The boat boards promptly several minutes before the departure time. You won't get wet on the tour so don't worry about that... More

I've seen the Ride the Duck tours in many cities and always thought it might be a fun way to see a new place. I guess it all depends on the tour guide. Ours wasn't very good. He walked onto the vehicle looking very grumpy and then turned on an upbeat persona once the tour started...just couldn't buy his enthusiasm.... More

This was one of the worst "touristy" activities our group (40-50's) has ever done-anywhere. Our opinion was that if we were taking a 5 year old child on the tour, it might have been more tolerable. The general consensus of our group was to try to get off the bus and some considered jumping out the window- it was that... More

Yes its really a tour that will keep the kids happy, but it was too hot for the horse and carriages so we did this. I have to say the guide was very informative and we had a great tour of all of the sights of philly. It was over an hour and a half so the splash down on... More

We are local to South Jersey and bought a Groupon/Living Social deal to Ride the Ducks. My son is 12, in middle school, and starting to enjoy history. We had a blast. Tom was our guide and he was very personable, did a great job on the tour, and we loved his jokes. We had the early tour and I... More

We purchased our tickets on groupon in fact we probably wouldn't of done this tour if we didn't see it there first. However, after going on the tour I would do it again. It was a great tour. You don't get off the boat/bus at all but it is a great way to see the sites and see where you... More

Mostly enjoyable, humour full narrative, a bit cheesy at times. The water ride is for the kids but there are some interesting sights including the battleship New Jersey. Would prefer they slow at photo opportunity if traffic allows. Photos by colleagues good but extra $20 a little cheeky when they do it on chance. Take a bottle of water, be... More

Face it: this is a quirky tour that will appeal to kids especially as opposed to a long , historical walking tour. It will give you a fine overview of the city layout and pertinent historical information...and lots of duck jokes. The trip into the water is sure to please the younger folks and Philly should be seen from its... More
