Great venue. Saw Book of Mormon last night. Excellent performances - as good as Broadway. Great show.

Everything about how gorgeous this theater is is absolutely true! Not a bad seat (line of sight wise) in the place! But, if you are differently abled, heavy, or very tall (I'm 6'4 and stocky) it will not be a good venue for you unless you happen to score the opera boxes on the sides of the theater with the... Take a trip back in time. Like stated previously, the theatre is quite wondrous to experience. The only downsides that we experienced were the restrooms. For the amount of people that need to utilize the facilities during a 15minute intermission...it doesn't quite work out. And yes, the seating was tight, could have used more shoulder room. But Eddie Izzard was... More

Nice venue to see Broadway shows in Center City Philadelphia. Saw Jersey Boys here and great views from all areas. Older theater so seats and aisles are smaller but decor is quite lovely...especially the chandelier and ceiling. Great location within walking distance of good restaurants and shops. We took train into Philadelphia and walked there for matinee show.

Went to see Jersey Boys - the Forrest is something out of the past, very ornate and elegant. But be prepared to climb stairs, many of them steep and not always level. The seats are close together so make sure you shower before you go and hope that the person next to you has done the same. Also, make sure... More

I agree with many of the reviews that seating is not the most comfortable but this show was so outstanding that it didn't take long before I was drawn into the music and story and the seat comfort became a non-issue. I would return to the Forrest.

The theater itself is fine, but as others stated there isn't much room between rows. In order to let people pass, everyone in the way had to leave their seats and step into the walkways. My main gripes - the price of drinks and the exiting ushers! Two whiskey and gingerales cost us $31 (that's with the $1 tip that... More

We just saw both Million Dollar Quartet and Jerkyl and Hyde. Both were great productions and could have been mo enjoyable if they were at any other theater but the Forrest. The steepness of the mezzanine stairs is untenable for the elderly and once seated the knees are in the back of the head of the person in front of... More

But the seating sucks!! i'm only 5'9", 170Ib and I felt like i was in a straight jacket. my knees were pressed up against the seat in front 0f me and... More

We bought tickets for Jersey Boys months in advance and were so excited to go. Imagine our disappointment when we got to our seats and realized they were meant for children under 12 or adults under 4'. The seats are so cramped and tight we left during intermission. It was the most uncomfortable theater we've ever been to and will... More
