I belong to three theater subscriptions. This is the most engaging play this season--from the moment we see an old television clip to the curtain calls. Well written, well acted. Comic, (not a comedian), faces new challenges in a serious play after the decline of vaudeville as in the careers of Bert Lahr and Buddy Keaton. Friendly staff. Coffee and... More

Great little theater in Philadelphia. Not a bad seat in the house. The play Metamorphoses was very well directed, acted and extremely entertaining. The theater is very easy to get to from anywhere.

We just saw the Arden's production of "Metamorphoses" by Ovid on Friday night. The set was beautiful and evocative--a large pool of water was set into the floor in front of the stage, with the actors interacting with and immersing themselves in the water while enacting the various myths. The acting, costumes, lighting, sound, and set were really well done.... More

If you love the theatre then see if anything is p,along at the ARDEN when you are in Phiadelphia. The performances are equity and the quality is terrific. I have seen many plays and musicals here and they are all excellent.

We love the Arden Theatre. Great plays. Great local actors. And a friendly venue. We recommend seeing plays at this wonderful theater.

Love the Arden Theater. If the plays are not always great they are at least very good and the acting and production values are always top rate. Recommend a subscription to such a valuable local Philadelphia theater.

The Arden consistently produces top quality plays. Old masters, new playwrights. They're all performed with professionals that you have seen in movies or on TV or heard on voice over commercials. Two of my favorites over the years are Greg Wood and Grace Gonglewski. Any of these productions could have appeared on Broadway or in the West End, but they... More

Renewed for next season after Passion performance. Actors never fail to delight. Props impressive. But story line a bit insipid. But the company itself is excellent. Not a bad seat in the house & a variety of traditional & new plays are offered. Add that to community participation with work shops & Children's offerings for a 5 + rating .... More

The acting and singing was outstanding. The storyline is a little bit of a downer but that is not the fault of the theatre. The theatre is very small so there is not a bad seat in the house. The only thing is if you are tall, the room for your legs is somewhat tight.

We started coming to the Arden right after work over a decade ago and I still do not begrudge the push to get off work in time. Even if it means eating in the car on the way, both of us are always ready for a new experience, a perfect performance has been our consistent experience. Do not worry about... More
