When you leave Independence Hall and head north towards the Liberty Bell Center, you have entered block one of the Independence Mall. In this area is the Liberty Bell Center where you view the bell, a large grassy area with a few benches to sit on and restrooms. North of that is block two which is where the Independence Visitor's... More

Take a break from the attractions and stretch out on the long grass lawn. Take some pictures and just relax. Then go back to the hustle and bustle and the lines. The NPS does a great job with all the sites. Truly a great way to spend a day.

This is where you find all of the historical buildings and objects like the Liberty Bell. The park itself is pretty nice with trees and green areas. There is some park benches that you can sit on, but there's not much to sit and watch unless you want to see a long line of people queueing for the Liberty Bell.... More

We had a great time. The Park Rangers did a great job. We had to cut the trip short because it started raining cats and dogs.. I will return to finish the trip...

This is a great place to start and orient yourself with the city. This is where we picked up the Duck tour which was a great way to orient ourselves I may add. Figure spending an hour or so in line for the Liberty Bell (security clearance...free to enter to see bell and take a picture of course and a... More

Not much to say but this area continues to revitalize and appreciate the treasures. The open space between Independence Hall and the National Constituion Center is a great place to just relax during the warm months. During the July 4th week, enjoy the oudoor concert with the Philly Pops. There are so many structures with major historical significance within one... More

My friend took us here and I really enjoyed. As I don't know anything about American history, I found it very interesting. It was an extremely hot day when we went which made it uncomfortable and rushed so I'd go there again to read all the outdoor exhibits.

Open air park with grassy area which has the visitors center, the great liberty bell and an unexpected treasure of a ghost house which is the foundation of George washington s home in Philly (they found it while erecting the new liberty bell center). The NPS rangers were nice and well informed about the sites and would answer any questions.... More

I cannot think of anywhere better done by the NPS. All of the big historical landmarks are within this area. There is a really nice Visitor's Center that will clue you in on everything Philadelphia and Revolutionary War. The lawn expanse is also nice if you just want to take a break. There are many benches, restrooms, etc.... Go early... More

This mall is extremely well done and well laid out. It adds to the experience by providing a variety of attractions to see it as you walk around the mall and interesting Signage to explain what you're looking at.
