Running the Rocky steps was always a big thing on my bucket list and it didn't fail to disappoint! I went in the early evening about half 5ish n it was just starting to turn dark. The other reviews say there was ppl there who would take photos for you for a charge n would insist on you paying; however... More

I went to Philadelphia for a conference last month and as always at such events you get only a short amount of time to visit the city... The area where the statue is located has many nice sites to visit (Rodin Museum, National Museum, etc.), so passing by a piece of movie history is worth it! The statue looks great... More

Statue from the movie, makes you feel like you are in it. Run up the steps of the museum to make it more nostalgic. :)

Who hasn’t seen that iconic moment when Rocky gets to the stop of the stairs and throws his hands in the air in a triumphant display of victory?!? I kept laughing at the questions of some of the people on the tour bus who had never seen the movie. There questions as to when the statue was made, who Rocky... More

Fantastic to see the statue and run up the steps - a surreal experience and very moving as the films are so ingrained in our collective psyche BUT please be warned...there are pairs of well built men around the statue (and on the steps) that offer to take your photo with the statue with your own camera. Initially you think... More

Doesn't take long, but you should see it. Do the run up the steps and get a photo with the statue. Take the time to go into the art museum where it stands in front of.

Haha Been pretty surprised that its not on the top of the stairs, I planned to run them and jump around the statue like rocky did! (Yea yea so awkeard I know) So yeah, its actually on the right side, parallel to the road. Very, very, VERY annoying and disgusting 3 men offering you to take a picture of you... More

We took a bus tour as we were only in town for a couple of days. We jumped off at the Library, and two of our number ran up the steps - as in the Rocky film. We then had our pics taken with the Rocky statue, which has been moved from the top of the steps to the bottom.... More

If you ever visit the birthplace of America.....you HAVE to run the stairs of the Art Museum to gain a full Philadelphia experience. Eventhough it was a sad day in Philadelphia when the Art museum decided to remove it from the top of the stairs, it doesn't mean you can't partake in, what has become, a city tradition! Take a...
