Not the museum but the parade

I don't know why I can't be the first person to review the mummer's parade; which is rather strange since it has been in existence for more than 100 years, but my only choice was... read more

We popped in here on New Years Eve so that i could show my girlfriend some of the elaborate costumes and help her understand what the mummers tradition is all about. We are both outa-towners but ive been to the parade many times before. Ron showed us around and personally spent about an hour explaining all the costumes, different clubs,... More

We had no idea what to expect, but for just a few dollars, the Mummers Museum is fascinating and a great bargain. This museum isn't particularly high tech or fancy- more like a labor of love on a mission to preserve the history of the mummers for future generations. When we walked into the vestbule, it seemed as though we... More

Uniquely Philadelphia, updated, cleaned up and beautiful. If you are interested in the Mummers Parade, this is the museum for you. The museum is dripping with history, costumes, pictures, videos, old badges, opportunities to learn the strut and the history of this amazing Philadelphia tradition. You can tour the museum in under an hour. In the spring and summer string... More

I don't know why I can't be the first person to review the mummer's parade; which is rather strange since it has been in existence for more than 100 years, but my only choice was Mummers Museum which I have never seen! I had never gone to the parade although we live only an hour away, so as senior citizens... More

If you grew up in the greater Philly area watching the Mummers parade on New Year's Day, you will find the museum about this unique phenomena particularly interesting. Lots of beautiful sequined costumes from years past on 1950's department store dummies plus videos and pictures of past parades. Our guide was very pleasant, enthusiastic, and is a Mummer herself. However... More

As someone who grew up glued to the tv or dressed for frigid temps to stand along Broad Street to watch the Mummer's Day Parade - I really think you'll get a kick out of this place! It's fun.

My family and i were planning a visit to the mutters museum and came here by accident. It is very dated. We decided to go ahead and take the tour. $3.50 each and 5 min later we were done!!! Unless you are a parade design person, just pass

This museum could be very interesting with history and costumes, but it is old and outdated. Most of the exhibits did not work and the information was not current. The lady running the museum was quite interesting and informed, but the museum needs to be brought up-to-date.

Not a first priority place to visit unless you area Mummer or really love the Mummers. It is Philly tradition, but it is Schmalzy. Not for everyone.

Right in the heart of the neighborhood where the music is made. There is one night each week that you can listen to outside concerts. Take your own chair.
