Take a Free and Friendly walking tour with us! It’s free, which means you tip us what you want. It’s friendly because we’re friendly folks. And it’s Philadelphia because we love it and want you to love it too. We’re a Philly company and we’ll show you the whole Philadelphia – or the whole of what’s in walking distance. We lend our friendship freely and we’ll gladly recommend a place to go out after the tour.

it ended up being a private tour which turned out to be great. If I was to book a private tour in Philadelphia, it would absolutely be with Free and Friendly Tours. Our tour guide Chris was very knowledgeable and a funny guy. We did the Billy Penn tour and got a kick out of it. Definitely recommend!!

My tour-guide was friendly and enthusiastic, but whenever I asked him a question that was "off script" he usually had to admit that he did not know the answer. It seems like he's learned enough to give the official tour, but does not know much else about the city's history. Despite these reservations, I would recommend this tour to others,... More

I had to take the Dark Side of History tour because it was the only one offered in the evening when I was going to be in town. Our tour guide met us for our tour. It was only myself, my co-worker and the guide. I think the actual tour itself could have been better. I think the spots "showcased"... More

Took few out of town members of family on Phila city hall area tour with Craig. He was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and informative. I am an area native and still learned some interesting facts. I would definitely take a 'free and friendly" tour again. I think we got more than our money's worth! Unfortunately we had to... More

Great tour which happened to be on Flag Day. Nice to see Betsy Ross' house and festivities on such a day. Despite the 95 degree weather that day, our guide was full of energy and always found shade to continue his talk.

I knew very little about American history so thought it best to have someone explain it to me since so much of Philly revolves around this history. Boy was that a good choice. Caleb was interesting, informative and a lot of fun. If I had walked around Philly myself I would have had no idea of the significance of any... More

Very interesting and informative tour. I learned a lot from Caleb about a variety of stuff. From sports and history to local current events. He was great with our teenage boys. Answered all questions thrown at him.

Caleb was our tour guide. He was very knowledgable about the area, easy to hear, and excited about what he does. I highly recommend this tour.

We absolutely loved the Free and Friendly Tour of Philly. At first we were sceptical how good a free tour can be but it actually was awesome, our tour guide was very nice and enthusiastic - I especially liked his jokes and puns! We'll definitely do more of these tours in other towns, also be sure to tip a lot!!

My family and I made a reservation with Free and Friendly the evening before our tour. We wound up running late the next day due to traffic and contacted Caleb who was to be our guide for the tour. Not only was he gracious in waiting for us to arrive, when we did, he made sure to ask if we... More
