Take a Free and Friendly walking tour with us! It’s free, which means you tip us what you want. It’s friendly because we’re friendly folks. And it’s Philadelphia because we love it and want you to love it too. We’re a Philly company and we’ll show you the whole Philadelphia – or the whole of what’s in walking distance. We lend our friendship freely and we’ll gladly recommend a place to go out after the tour.

Thanks to Mark for meeting my friend and I on a very cold March day! We were the only ones on the Cheesesteak tour, but that didn't seem to matter! We saw Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and Franklin's burial site, amongst other things. Was perfect for us as we only had 2 days in the city. Loved the local tips... More

I enjoyed my Cheesesteak tour with John. There only 3 people in the tour which made it more intimate and easier to ask questions. John did a nice job covering a lots of sites and information in a short amount of time.

Having never been to Philadelphia, the friend I was visiting thought it would be fun to take me on the Free and Friendly Tours to see the city. We weren't disappointed. Our tour guide, John Sommerville, was absolutely amazing! Not only did he go out of his way to ensure we got a tour, but was also approachable, professional, incredibly... More

We went on this tour with Mark this past week and had a great time. Mark was very friendly and personable. Walking the town with him did really feel like we were walking the town with a friend. We were able to get a great layout of the town and how the streets work while seeing all the big local... More

Went on the Colonial Cheesesteak tour this past weekend, October 12 with Caleb. I showed up a few minutes late because I couldnt find Benjamin Best's! FYI it is a small shop with a tan colored awning, I would have probably seen it sooner had I gotten my face out my phone looking for directions. I actually ended up being... More

We went on the Colonial Cheesesteak tour with Caleb (sorry if the spelling is not correct!) and it was excellent. Caleb was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and exceptionally patient with my two-year-old daughter who came along with us. I strongly recommend this wonderful tour company.

We decided to give Free and Friendly Tours a try after reading the great reviews here on Trip Advisor. Well, the reviews were right. We (four of us) showed up 10 minutes early and were part of a group of 11 people on the Colonial Cheesesteak tour at 10:00 am. Our tour guide Eric was very friendly and knowledgeable. The... More

I lived in Philly for a year and a half, and avoided anything "touristy" like the plague. Nevertheless, I was back in town and also showing around a friend from outside the area. I happened upon Free and Friendly Tours through a few facebook connections, and decided to give it a try. Mark, our tour guide, made the tour both... More

This tour was perfect! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We visited many of the main historical sites. We were even permitted to bring our dogs along! I would highly recommend and may even take another tour again in the future! :)

Excellent tour and guide. Our guide was so knowledgable with the history and landmarks but not at all boring! He took his time and allowed for questions as well as pictures along the way. It was a great introduction to the city!
