I have nothing to say about the cloths or the store because it just like any other Macy's I've seen back in California. I was there for the Christmas show and it was a great one! the organ plays beautifully and the inside of the building is just awesome! Macy's is known at making great Christmas shows (2 days later... This Macy's is in the old Wanamaker building. I happened to be there during the floral show and "the secret garden" was gorgeous. The Wanamaker organ was playing in the atrium and that alone was worth the trip. Besides the amazing architecture of the building, this Macy's has much more professional clothes than my Macy's at home. Both my husband... More

Went to the 12p tree show the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Macy's magic Christmas tree is on the even hours so it can get pretty crowded on the weekends. They do have an area on the first floor in front of the tree roped off for the crowd. The workers were trying to move people to clear the aisles but I... More

Stunning spectacle. The shoes and accessories department was transformed into a garden with life size trees, real flowers and wonderful spring scents! The organ was playing and people were just standing and taking it all in. If you are in Philly at the moment, go to Macy's and enjoy!!

We had a half hour before our City Hall tour and went to look at the architecture of the first dept store in the US which is now Macy's. Beautiful!

The Center City Macy's (formerly John Wanamaker) Store is an architectural gem which contains the world's largest working pipe organ. The store celebrates organ day usually on a Saturday in June, which is definitely worth attending. The organ site in the grand court, a seven story high atrium with acoustics that rival the best concert halls. The organ day program... More

Macys is always on our list when we visit the US, particularly at the holiday season. This store is a beautiful building with many original features and stunning holiday windows.Got lots of christmas goodies in Holiday Lane even better with the visitors discount. Worth a visit.

Macy's stunning Christmas Tree and Organ presentation are delightful. It embodies the feeling and excitement of the holiday season. The store itself is neatly maintained, even in the chaos of the bustling holiday shopping season.

Our grandson was mesmerized by the low tech Christmas light show. I assume they have been running the same show, narrated by Julie Andrews, for decades. It held his attention for the full half hour or so (he even asked for "one more time.")

At Christmas, Macys has a Light show every two hours in the central atrium. It is very crowded so get there early for good viewing. The light show with narration is about 10 minutes and certainly not up to today's technological standards but it is entertaining. For me the best part was the playing of Oh Tannenbaum on the Wanamaker... More
