Loved the building but Macy's is beginning to be more like a Kmart. Bring back Foley's I miss them. Foley' s was equal to Dillard's in my opinion in clothes, designers etc.

I have to say that Philly was a all around amazing city. We stayed downtown and walked everywhere. I passed by Macy's several times until I met my Mom, Dad and Bother there and oh the sight and sounds of that stunning organ. We were lucky enough to be there when someone was playing and just got lost in the... More

Things used to run smoothly, but now it is just plain sad. Virtually no real customer service, except one lady in the men's shoe dept. The lines are crazy all the time. If you ask that they look something up or request a higher level of service other than "I would like you to ring me up," they shirk all... More

Normally, I would not care to rate a Macy's. Nothing against them, but how do you rate a department store chain? There are a few locations that stand out, though: New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Macy's may not be the "Miracle on 34th" location, but it has a very classical charm all the same. Yes, there are the... More

Great 100+ year old building, LARGE Macy*s and the largest pipe organ in the world. Listened to the noon "concert" (about 40 minutes) and liked at the indoor flower show. Like mixing a cathedral music with a shoppers mecca. Something for everyone. Stopped in the next afternoon after meeting the "Philly Fanatic" outside going to a fashion show inside.

For a large city, this Macy's was very disappointing. No premium goods. No true designers. No real salon shoes. The "high end" bags were Coach and Dooney & Burke. So sad. The only good thing about this store was the staff. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and groomed very well.

Macy's Center City Philly is the former John Wanamaker's facility. Although the name has changed, the solid bronze Eagle, suspendered in the center corridor of Macy's is always a very special place to meet. Just ask any Philly native where is the Eagle and the answer is the same, Macy's or, the old John Wanamaker's store. A real gem in... More

Over the years I've heard dozens of people talk about how amazing the light show is, so this year I finally decided to check it out. I went at 10:00am thinking the crowds would be mellow, it was still mobbed. The sound was awful with the exception of when they finally played the organ towards the end. The show was... More
