Retail shopping in old fashioned elegance, Macy's towering ceilings and century-old architecture is a must-see. Concerts on the St. Louis World's Fair Pipe Organ are performed twice daily.

A Holiday Treat

I love the Dicken's Village and Light Show. It's a great thing to do in conjunction with the Christmas Village and Love Park.

Brought my wife and teenage daughter here the day before Thanksgiving , remembering the multi-story light shows from decades ago when I was a kid. The lights were set up but we found out the light shows did not start until the day after Thanksgiving and we had to leave town on Thanksgiving day. Too bad for us. But plan... More

It was great & FABULOUS, when it was J. Wanamaker store. WE used to sit in the restaurant, 3RD floor < I guess it doesn't exist any more!?> and watch this fantastic Christmas Light Show! IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT TIME! Wanamaker's brought "CLASS" to the public, buying anything! I used to like Macy's, but, now it is all CHINA "junk!... More

It was one of the oldest and most respected stores on this city's history. As children we use to take the train in town during holidays and have lunch in the Crystal Tea room . We use to listen to the grand pipe organ on awe .When was a young adult I lived 3 blocks up the street from the... More

No this is not your Gucci or Versace but if you are seeking a department store shopping experience of Michael Kors or the like then this is for you. I visited in October and the three story spaces with it's historic, ornate, larger than life, pipe organ were already decked with Christmas decorations. Coming from a secondary shopping market, this... More

With only three floors of the original John Wanamaker Store, Macy's is still a large downtown department store with many departments and particularly helpful associates.

The best that Macy's has to offer, with clerks that really know their merchandise, in an iconic building. A visit to Macy's Philadelphia, at Christmas time, is a treat!

I hate Macy's. Remember when Bambergers was bought my Macy's. So was JW. Hasn't been the same since. We used to go to JW to see the Christmas displays. No more. It's just not the same. Staff sucks - a bunch of stuck-up broke hipsters and yuppies. I suppose same as the customers. I went in once since it changed... More
