We walked in for some shopping and ended up exploring the building. Totally amazed about the architecture of the whole place we explored some floors. At the information desk, a friendly lady told us some more background stories. She had worked there nearly all her life and started at Wanamaker's. Go and see it and yes, you can shop there... More

Paying big bucks for nothing special. .. expected much more. The outlets at king of pursia mall are much better. As are the malls. Nice building. .. think could be put to better use

I visited Macy's several times to buy stuff for myself and the family back home. The selection is fairly generic: it is a department store. Compared to the outlet malls of Lancaster County, most reasonable shopping desires can be easily met. But the building is spectacular with a huge pipe organ which was even played during one of my visits.... More

Macy's has continued the old Wanamaker Department Store tradition with this store in the center of the city. It has a full range of departments throughout its many stores with large inventories of goods. The old department store tradition that offered almost everything in one place downtown is alive and well here. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable so shopping... More

Visiting the "Grand Dame" of the Center City stores, it was good to see The Eagle" is still there. Also, the world's largest indoor pipe organ was a pleasure to see, too. The store (I worked there back in '86) retains it's charm and good taste.

Another national registry location. But when you walk into the grand hall and see the organ up 3 stories, you can just sense the magnificence of the the place. The layout of the building. The arrangement of the floors. Shopping was not just to get what you want, but it was about having a great experience. There was a helpful... More

We had not done our research, but stopped into Macy's near our hotel looking for some more comfortable shoes. Unexpectedly for us, the pipe organ concert began. Such a treat. Be sure to time your shopping to hear this wonderful pipe organ.
