Here for a convention so I wasn't expecting Vegas or even Atlantic City. Small for those standards but has tables and lots of slots. Was clean people friendly and dealers polite. Not as many tables as I would like but I was expecting less. As a bonus I left with more money than I came with.

I seldom give bad reviews but WOW! We were on a convention and this was the casino offered. WHY????? Maybe closest. From the moment we walked in the door, it was bad!Dark, dirty, overcrowded and noisy. AND we visit many casinos in many cities.....so we are used to casino "noise", smoke, etc. Our only positive comment would be about the... More

I have never had a bad experience at Sugarhouse. It is a typical casino with standard minimum bets and an attached restaurant. I share the sentiments of other reviewers; that I wish there was more to see and do nearby. There is only one restaurant in the casino and you can't walk to elsewhere on the waterfront. The Delaware Avenue... More

Dreadful location. So many better choices. They need to build up the location around it. It could be a great locale along the river...but it is not. Smoking just makes it worse. I'd like to see sports betting and generally more options. Tear it down and put it in a better part of the city.

I am not much of a gambler, but when I play, it's not going to be a machine, so slots are out. I like to take my time and find a table where there are players that are winning. I usually play the roulette wheel or blackjack. As I wandered around from table to table watching the games being played... More

This casino is not the place to go for a long period of time. Anything more than 2 hours is too long. It was in what looks like the abandoned part of Philadelphia with nothing else to do nearby. The casino was one level and very small. Smoking was allowed so that made things even worse because of the small... More

Supervisors and security officers are racist towards minorities. They really need to get a better team of leaders. I will never be coming back here again. It's a shame how racism still exists.

I've been trying to give this place a chance, but it let's Me down every time. The slots take your money in a Matter of minutes. $100 is like having ten. I believe they do this because they're the only Casino in Philadelphia. They've gotten cocky and could care less about you having a good time. They need competition. Then... More

We enjoyed our visit to the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia. This is not Las Vegas, but clean, comfortable and close to the attractions in Philadelphia. The personnel at the casino were, without exception, excellent. I would recommend a visit.

I thought they would have a few shops and decent restaurants but they had none. If you just want to gamble it's mediocre but extremely smoke filled throughout even though they say that there are nonsmoking areas. Black Jack tables start at $15.00. Not comparable to Foxwoods or Atlantic City.
