We walked down for Winterfest when we stayed at the Omni, and it was a pleasant walk. (Except for the bone-chilling temps). It was so pretty, with mounds of little lights, trees and walk ways. The heated tents were warm enough, and there were board games scattered about to spend time, and food available for purchase. The ice skating rink... More

After seeing their brochure and their listing on the Visit Philly website, we certainly expected more. It turned out to be a small ice skating rink, a building with some video games and another building with food offerings. There were a few trees with lights and a view of the bridge and Camden waterfront. I think the parking lots .... More

Went down to the Penn's Landing area and visited the Winterfest area. We had allot of fun and enjoyed the family ice skating and the several spots they had setup in this area for families. The parking was $15, pretty standard for city areas these days. The ice skating was very cheap compared to NYC, only paid around $50 for... More

Went to the 6:00 fireworks on Camden side. Very nice with the city in the back ground . Plenty of parking and you have Victors bar right there

Penns Landing is a fun spot to spend a couple of hours if you are in the holiday mood. Ice skating rink was very popular on the day we were there; they have fire pits to enjoy, craft beer on tap, hot chocolate, holiday music. Parking is a little pricey ($15), but otherwise, a very nice afternoon.

Spent 1 hour skating with Santa and many others. Inexpensive activity- can rent skates there. Fire pit, decorated tree, music. There were large rockers on porch with blankets provided for non-skaters to watch. Inside there were couches and fireplace, food-did not have- TV projection screen-football game on- picnic tables to sit for your hot chocolate.

It's a really nice walk along the waterfront and they even have hammocks to chill out in. We went on a raelly nice, sunny day though and I think that made all the difference. In the rain, it's probably a lot less fun, but if you're looking to take a break from historic buildings and bells, this is the place... More

It's a nice area, with some park area and waterfront walkways, where you can look at the old ships/boats. During the summer, there is kayaking and swan boats. In winter, it's still nice to look at the river and the waterfront.

...except that when my wife and I sat in one of the hammocks conveniently strewn about the park and began to gently swing, some douche-bag decided to come tell us we were not allowed to swing. Umm, excuse me, but it's a hammock. The whole damned point is to relax, like an infant, by gently swinging in the hammock. So,... More

We wanted to do something different then the historical buildings near by. The Maritime museum was very informative but walking through the ships was the best. There is a lot of walking and steps, so its not for the handicap. If you so an AARP card, you will receive discounted admission.
