Penn's Landing has the potential to be something amazing. I have been to many other cities that have a river walk type set up, and this one is way down on the list. There isn't much to do other than walk around a mini park and a few concession stands that sell food. There is an old ship and submarine... More

Went during Memorial Day, and there were many ships to visit. Although we didn't actually tour any of them - we did observe them from the landing area. Battleship USS Olympia -- of the great white fleet -- is here as well as a submarine from WWII. Other ships come and go. Across the way is the Battleship USS New... More

My wife and I walked through Penn’s Landing on a recent trip to Philadelphia. We were not at all impressed as it was not nearly as nice as many other river fronts and river walks we have been to. Penn’s landing seemed dreary and quite boring. We noticed that the people here did not seem to be having a good... More

The Penn's landing pier area is quite small. When we visited there were 2 "fairs"/"events" happening there and still there was very little to do. The children (which usually find interest with everything) were very bored and soon wanted to leave. Parking in the are is expensive ($15-$20). Unless you're going to tour the museum, battleship & submarine (~ $50... More

We walked over to the Harbor park after watching the Chris Strandring jazz concert (also on Penns Landing). The weather was perfect, no humidity , the large crowd was very festive (lots of college students from what I could tell) and not a hint of unruliness. Great place to hang out at night with the colorfully balls and strands changing... More

The fact that the whole space is filled with a parking lot is a bit off putting. While it makes it a very good concert venue (and there are quite a few during summer time), it also makes it highly uninteresting when there is nothing of the sort. The view over the Delaware river is nice, but it is the... More

I spent a Staurday on the water, music, vendors, good food, and fun for all ages! A great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Went there for the first time to see a semi-popular band with some friends and it was awesome! The venue was just big enough, the steps are tiered so you can see over people's heads, pretty close to the stage, and a beautiful scenery! Beer and food was well priced too! Loved being outside! We walked around before the concert... More

Cool, iconic place in Philly that you should stop and see if you have the time or are in the South Street area (nice in the evenings for a walk, and safe). Take a walk down South St. until you reach the pier, take a look, then head down the stairs and up the waterfront to see the rest of... More

I will tell you... Other than taking pictures of the ships going by, this was one of my favorite things to do while in Philly.. Peens landing is a beautiful place... I would suggest that you get to the boardwalk early... You can bring your own food or buy something on site. There are things to do for the young... More
