That's the real appeal of this place. You can wander all around Penn's Landing and do nothing. You can stare off at Camden, the bridge, or preferably the ships docked there. It's a nice thing, that. Especially when nobody's there.

Cobblestone streets, easy and fun walking, fabulous restaurants. We went to see the tall ships there this summer, and it was a highlight of the summer. The only bad thing is finding a parking space. Be careful where you park. We saw them tow a car away, quick as a wink. It took less than five minutes.

Could have been because the Pope was due to arrive but this area was dead. There was a skating rink and some rides but they were almost deserted. Not much else. And was Friday afternoon. Best avoided probably

Penn's Landing is one of the great attractions Philly has to offer. It is nice to be by the water, has sort of a calming effect. It can also be very Beautiful, especially at night. A good place to sit in an open air bar and pass the evening watching the river flow by. If you don’t like sitting, you can lounge on a net suspended over the river: perhaps only for the brave. If you’re hungry, there are some food stalls as well.

We stayed at the Hilton in Penn's Landing so had lots of opportunity to explore this note resting area which is basically a waterfront. At the weekend it comes alive wth lots of eateries, fast food outlets and bars, full of people walking, drinking, playing games , people watching, eating and swinging in the hammocks. Seaport museum near, plus the ship... More

It's always nice to walk around penns landing on the Delaware river. They have a couple of different museums 'parked' there. Both we just walked around and admired from the outside

Very neat place! You can walk along the shore along the river and the area has a lot of history and was clean.
