The shopping was great on Chestnut Street, but the Meter Maids are everywhere! I swear, with less then a minute to go, they pop up out of no where and have a ticket almost ready to print! Keep on top of your meter!

Chestnut Street is always changing. Some times are better than others. Other cities do their "golden mile" a lot better but this is Philadelphia. Chestnut Street is long and there are various personalities from one area to the next.

Our hotel was on Chestnut; close to historical buildings, all sorts of eateries - pizza, pubs, fine dining and the Delaware river. Busy area, fun to walk around. Cafe tables on sidewalks.

I stayed in a hotel on Chestnut street and it made my stay so much easier. Chestnut street has everything. It is lined with good shopping and great food. It has a significant night life as well. We had so much fun. It was comparable to Bourbon street in New Orleans only less dangerous and less crime.
